Hyundai Elantra Shows Its Taillights and Indicator on Latest Spy Shots

Hyundai Elantra Shows Its Taillights and Indicator on Latest Spy Shots

Posted on August 29, 2025 By rehan.rafique No Comments on Hyundai Elantra Shows Its Taillights and Indicator on Latest Spy Shots

A few days ago, the first rendering image of the next-generation Hyundai Elantra—known as the Hyundai Avante in South Korea—promised a 90% accuracy, giving us an early look at what will be the eighth generation of Hyundai’s popular mid-sized sedan. Now, fresh spy photos from our friends at ShortsCar have confirmed that the earlier rear design preview was indeed accurate, validating enthusiast expectations for the car’s futuristic new styling.

Rendering Matches Reality

Shortly after the initial spy shots appeared, our colleagues at Gotcha Cars produced a highly detailed rendering of the upcoming Elantra, claiming it represented about 90% of the final production model. Judging by these latest images, they were right on target—the sculpted rear fenders, sharp tail lamp graphics, and coupe-like roofline are almost identical to what’s now been caught on camera.

Hyundai Sticking With ICE Amid Electrification Delays

While the industry shifts rapidly toward EVs, Hyundai has decided to keep the Elantra’s internal combustion legacy alive for at least one more generation. According to industry sources, delays in Hyundai’s broader electrification roadmap mean that the next-gen Elantra will launch as a refreshed gasoline-powered model rather than a fully electric vehicle—though hybrid and alternative fuel variants will remain part of the lineup.

Coupe-Inspired Styling With N Vision 74 Influence

The new Elantra’s design is heavily inspired by the Hyundai N Vision 74 concept—a modern reimagining of the classic Pony Coupe. Expect a coupe-like sedan silhouette, bold straight-line detailing, and a futuristic horizontal LED light signature.

  • Front: Sculpted rectangular grille area with angular DRLs and LED strip lighting.
  • Side: Low, wide stance with pronounced shoulder lines and muscular rear haunches for a sportier profile.
  • Rear: Aggressive fender flares and sharp tail light design—elements now confirmed by the latest spy shots.

This styling approach gives the Elantra a more dynamic, almost muscle-car-like presence compared to its predecessor.

Familiar Yet Refined Powertrain Options

Beneath the striking exterior, the next-generation Hyundai Elantra is expected to retain its current powertrain lineup, including:

  • 1.6-liter gasoline engine
  • LPG variant (for select markets)
  • Hybrid powertrain

These options should provide a balance of efficiency, affordability, and proven reliability, while allowing Hyundai to focus its EV development on other upcoming models.

Launch Timeline

The all-new Hyundai Elantra is set for its global debut in 2026. With its daring coupe-inspired design, confirmed by these latest spy images, and a familiar yet versatile range of powertrains, the next-gen Elantra is shaping up to be a serious contender in the compact sedan segment.
