Gripple, a manufacturer specializing in engineered suspension solutions, has announced the TecLoc Conduit Claw, a new product designed for seismic stiffening in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) applications.

The TecLoc Conduit Claw is an IAPMO-approved seismic rod stiffening clip intended to secure suspended services and help prevent buckling in seismic conditions. According to Gripple, the clip can be installed quickly using pipe or conduit, and is compatible with 1″ EMT, 1″ Schedule 40 Pipe, and 3/8″, 1/2″, and 5/8″ rod sizes.

A key feature of the TecLoc Conduit Claw is its retrofittable design, which allows for installation after services are fully suspended. The company states that this makes the product suitable for late-stage modifications or unplanned changes during construction.

Gripple highlights the product’s one-person installation process, aimed at reducing labor requirements. The clip’s universal compatibility is intended to streamline inventory for contractors by eliminating the need for multiple SKUs.

The TecLoc Conduit Claw is constructed with a zinc die cast body manufactured in-house by Gripple. The product includes a shear-off bolt to help ensure proper installation and enable on-site inspection. Gripple also notes that the product is manufactured in ISO-certified facilities and undergoes 100% inspection.

Safety and compliance are emphasized in the product’s design. The company states that the clip helps maintain structural integrity and supports code compliance in critical infrastructure applications, including hospitals, data centers, and commercial buildings.

Gripple provides installation guidance and spacing recommendations, and offers the ability to modify clip spacing and design strength values with engineer approval for project-specific requirements. The company’s in-house engineering team is available to assist with custom needs.

Gripple Inc., based in Aurora, Illinois, manufactures solutions for the construction, infrastructure, solar energy, and agricultural sectors. The company was founded nearly 40 years ago and operates 21 locations worldwide.
