ACQUISITIONS

RectorSeal Corp. (Houston) acquired Aspen Manufacturing (Humble, Texas).

 

RESIDENTIAL CONTRACTORS

B&J Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning (Wilson, N.C.) broke ground for a new 11,000-square-foot facility.

 

COMMERCIAL CONTRACTORS

EcoPilot Canada (Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada) won a 2025 Pinnacle Award for Innovation during the Building Owners & Managers Association (Washigton, D.C.) Nova Scotia awards ceremony.

Harris (St. Paul, Minn.) won the 2025 Top Workplaces Culture Excellence award based on employee feedback gathered by Energage (Exton, Pa.).

 

MANUFACTURERS

Diversified CPC International (Joliet, Ill.) promoted Dan Drury to vice president of commercial strategy and execution.

A.O. Smith Corp. (Milwaukee) COO and president Stephen Shafer will become president and CEO effective in July, succeeding chairman and CEO Kevin Wheeler, who will become executive chairman.

Quilt (Redwood City, Calif.) introduced a certified partner program and expanded into markets in Los Angeles, California; Seattle, Washington; and Portland, Oregon.

Everkem Diversified Products (Winston-Salem, N.C.) announced anticipated price increases on imported products due to tariffs.

 

ORGANIZATIONS

The Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors–National Association (Falls Church, Va.) Educational Foundation expanded its PHCC Academy training course offerings.

The Electronic Components Industry Association (Alpharetta, Ga.) booked futurist Zack Kass as a speaker for its 2025 Executive Conference at the Westin O’Hare Hotel (Rosemont, Ill.) in October.

The ECIA also established a working group to facilitate information-sharing and mitigation strategies around tariffs.

 

SOFTWARE

Service Trade Inc. (Durham, N.C.) earned recognition on the Capterra Shortlist for field-service management software from Capterra Inc. (Arlington, Va.).

 

CONTRACTOR SERVICES

Reins (Las Vegas) and CEO Warrior (Eatontown, N.J.) signed an agreement that makes Reins a preferred partner for CEO Warrior client businesses.

Eden (Seattle) announced a $3.7 million fundraising round.
