MANUFACTURERS

Johnson Controls (Cork, Ireland) named Joakim Weidemanis to succeed George R. Oliver as CEO in March. Weidemanis was most recently executive vice president for diagnostics and China at Danaher Corp. (Washington, D.C.).

The ArctiDry product from Mojave Energy Systems (Sunnyvale, Calif.) was certified by Intertek (Londan) to the UL60335-2-40 standard.

Refrigeration equipment manufacturer Due North (Toronto) named Sean McGrann its chief commercial officer.

ECM Tecnologies (Phoenix) promoted Sofia Lozoya to vice president of marketing and creative.

Danfoss (Nordbord, Denmark) named Fabio Klein to succeed Kristian Strand as president of the commercial compressors division at Danfoss Climate Solutions, effective Tuesday, April 1.

Ridgid (Elyria, Ohio) expanded space for press jaw production at its headquarters.

Enertech Global (Greenville, Ill.) consolidated four brands into two unified brands, Enertech and GeoComfort by Enertech.

Viega (Attendorn, Germany) named Marki Huston the CEO of Viega North America (Broomfield, Colo.).

AtmosZero (Loveland, Colo.) opened a factory in Loveland for the production of its Boiler 2.0.

 

DISTRIBUTORS

Republic Companies (Davenport, Iowa) and T.F. Ehrhart (Quincy, Ill.) announced a merger.

The Granite Group (Concord, N.H.) opened a new branch in Ellsworth, Maine.

 

ORGANIZATIONS

Crystal Williams, founder of Lemon Seed Marketing (Diboll, Texas), was named to the executive board of Women in HVACR (Centennial, Colo.). She will serve as secretary in 2025.

Kathryn Poehling Seymour, president and CEO of First Supply (Madison, Wis.), joined the board of directors of Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (Madison, Wis.).

 

CONTRACTOR SERVICES

XOi Technologies (Nashville, Tenn.) acquired the data-enrichment and metadata retrieval firm Specifx (San Francisco).

JB Warranties Corp. (Flower Mound, Texas) promoted Jenna Ochoa to the role of company president.

 

ACQUISITIONS

Sylvester & Cockrum (Winston-Salem, N.C.) acquired Lowry Mechanical (Laurens, S.C.).
