Also, I can only upload so many images here. However, if SERIOUS, I can email or text them to you….whatever you prefer.
Car is adult owned, non-smoker, clean title, mechanically sound and ready for its new owner.
I purchased this last summer, flew out to New Mexico and drove it back here around 2,000 miles. At the time, it needed an alignment, a new ballast/bulb which I replaced upon getting back. I also at the same time had them replace the radiator and drain/refill the system too. I’ll try to list everything that I know of that was done to the car…the list is long:
Lower radiator hose replaced (have a spare upper now)
Grom Bluetooth unit installed
Front bumper air guide purchased (not installed)
Replaced TCV silicone hoses
Replaced Headlight wipers
New foglight grills
Timing belt, tensioner, and pulley replaced
Front mudflap replaced
Bumper cover brackets replaced
All engine mounts replaced
Replaced water pump
Replaced hood shocks
Haldex AOC Filter replaced
Replaced broken lower timing cover
Replaced hood insulation pad and clips
Headlight washer nozzles replaced
New Volvo radiator (not installed- leaks at current radiator (replaced in 2015?) seams stopped?)
New CVVT exhaust camshaft hub
New fuel injectors and o-rings
New windshield washer nozzles’
New oil pump gaskets (and crankshaft bolt)
New voltage regulator
New camshaft seals
New VVT hub o-rings
New VVT camshaft solenoid gaskets
New thermostat assembly
New crankcase vent, oil trap, and PCV hoses with new banjo bolts and crush washers
New plugs, coils, air filter
New oil cooler seals
New XeModex Throttle Body (this started most of the latest repairs “while you’re in there…”)
New intake manifold gasket
New fog light assembly
New angle gear sleeve and seals
New ball joints
New control arm bushings and control arm bolts
New rebuilt turbo with seals, etc.
New coolant expansion tank and cover
New radiator draincock
Boost gage installed
New battery
New tires
Here’s a list of everything that has been done/upgraded:
IPD parts (downpipe, intercooler, silicone (charge air pipe, turbo inlet pipe, throttle inlet tube, expansion tank hoses, upper and lower radiator), adjustable rear tow rods, transmission torque mount, Fuel pressure sensor, GROM unit, front bumper air guide (not installed), fog light grills, timing belt/tensioner/pulley, water pump, all four engine mounts, AOC filter and cover, DEM Cover kit, rear end links, boost gauge, front end links, mass air flow meter, right and left front axle shafts, turbo v-band adapter, strut brace conversion kit, HD external turbo diverter valve, CBV block off plate, turbo control valve, power slot front rotors, upper strut mounts, probably more…)
FCP Euro parts (Volvo radiator (not installed), plugs, coils, injectors and o-rings, headlight washer nozzles, Volvo exhaust CVVT adjusting hub, oil pump gaskets, front and rear camshaft seals for intake and exhaust, VVT hub o-rings and gaskets, a couple injector coil connectors, thermostat assembly and gasket, evap hose, PCV oil trap, all hoses, and banjo bolts, dipstick gasket, fuel filter, air filter, oil cooler seals, intake manifold gasket, throttle body gasket, control arm bolts, fog light assembly, sunroof guides, angle gear sleeve, ball joints, upper and lower control arm bushings, turbo oil feed and return gaskets, turbo and exhaust flange gaskets, expansion tank and cap)
Xemodex parts (Throttle body, DEM)
Other (rebuilt and upgraded turbo- I had a turbo shop do this, new battery in January 2022 and on a battery maintainer, replaced the passenger side window regulator with Volvo parts and big, honking Volvo rivets).
I’ve replaced the angle gear once and the sleeve once more after that. Lots of fluid changes (transmission, rear diff, AOC), oil, filters, just about everything. That silly driveshaft support was thrown away in 2005 when I installed a new driveshaft. And, new all-season tires with less than 500 miles in them probably. Also, I have the roof cross bars. I have not installed the radiator, sunroof guides, or the front bumper air guide. I have not replaced the alarm battery. I do have lots of car-specific tools (working DICE and computer) and two bins of spare parts and extras, including a spare HU-850 and a Volvo satellite radio. I’ll be including the DICE and computer as well as the bins of spares. However, the tools will sell separately since they will probably not be needed again for many years.
The Atacama leather is perfect on the rear seats and probably the best you’ll see on the front seats. I treated them with Lexol a gazillion times. The passenger seat has a water stain- my daughter had a leaky water bottle and did not tell me until after it was too late to truly address. I’ve treated that spot with extra Lexol but it is still there and will most likely be there forever.
If you are interested, I’ll send you as many photos as you like and answer as many questions as you like. There is absolutely no rust on this car.
Coming from NM, the car has some sun fade on the paint, and the previous owner’s wife hit something in her parking garage I was told. I simply don’t have the $ right now to address this. My plan was this spring have that, and the sun fade corrected. But, life hits and I have obligations and cannot keep two V70s.
Also included are two+ boxes of parts, a Dice/Vida setup, and other extras I can’t think of(tons of misc parts which go with the car).
Please feel free to ask anything you like. Price is OBO.
