The Cayman GT4 RS nicknamed “The Tulip” features bespoke details and plenty of track-ready accessories
- Porsche Netherlands has commissioned a special Cayman GT4 RS drenched in orange.
- The model is fitted with the optional Weissach Package and the aggressive Manthey Kit.
- While this is a one-off, Dutch Porsche fans can buy a matching thermos mug for €69.95.
The current, fourth-generation of the Porsche 718 Series will bow out of production this October, but before that happens there’s time for another special build. The pictured Cayman GT4 RS with the Manthey Kit was commissioned by Porsche’s Dutch importer, with its unique orange spec earning it the nickname “The Tulip”.
The one-off is the fruit of collaboration between the Porsche Netherlands, Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, Porsche Sonderwunsch, and Manthey Racing. The exterior is finished in a paint-to-sample Pastel Orange, paying homage to the national color of the country. The same color has been applied to the intakes on the black carbon fiber hood, the carbon aero discs, and the Porsche lettering on the rear spoiler.

Other custom details include the tulip logos on the front fenders, and the Dutch Flag pinstripe on the rear wing alongside the Manthey Racing logo. The 20-inch forged magnesium rims are finished in satin black, with the rear wheels being covered by carbon aero discs.
Moving inside, we are greeted by tulips on the illuminated door sills and the headrests of the bucket seats. The latter are upholstered in black leather and Race-Tex, contrasting with Pastel Orange for the piping, embroidery, and door straps.

As a final touch, Porsche offers a personalized car key and case, a special edition Chronograph 718 Cayman GT4 RS, and thermos mug – all featuring the Pastel Orange shade and the classy tulip logo.
Full-Spec Donor Car
“The Tulip” is based on the most hardcore version of the 718 series: the Cayman GT4 RS. The mid-mounted 4.0-liter flat-six powertrain generates 495 hp (368 kW / 500 PS) and is combined with a sharper chassis setup. Furthermore, the model is fitted with the optional Weissach Package, and the Manthey Kit, making it even more capable on the track.

The Manthey treatment, which costs $53,946 plus fitting in the US, adds more aggressive carbon fiber aero components like larger rear wing with a gurney flap. This allows the model to lap the Nurburgring in 7:03.121 minutes, which is over 6 seconds faster than the standard GT4 RS.
The special 718 Cayman GT4 RS will be exhibited at the Circuit Zandvoort during the Dutch Grand Prix weekend on August 29-31. It is not clear whether the model will remain with the Dutch importer or if it will be acquired by a local customer fora hefty price.
While the vehicle will remain a one-off, Dutch Porsche fans can buy the special edition chronograph, or the thermos mug. The latter is limited to 718 pieces and can be ordered through the Dutch Porsche e-shop for €69.95 ($82).
