If you are a motorsports fan, you’ve likely often daydreamed what it would be like to be a professional racing driver yourself. And though track days are great—you can mimic the heart-pounding levels of acceleration, astronomical top speeds, the g-forces felt when cornering—often missing is the thrill of truly racing a competitor bumper-to-bumper. Though this is a pipedream for many, the McLaren Trophy America Series can turn it into a reality.
McLaren Trophy is McLaren’s single-make race series where drivers race identical cars—the Artura Trophy EVO—putting the emphasis on pure driving skill. Freed from Balance of Performance regulations, the Artura Trophy EVO is a stunningly effective racecar and a great way to make the transition up to GT3 competition.

The inaugural season in America will consist of 10 races over 5 race weekends at some of the most iconic tracks in the US, including COTA and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The series is a Pro-Am format but focuses on Bronze drivers, who have to contest qualifying and the longer race stints, and will be supported with video and data analysis. McLaren Trophy is also open to the 570S Trophy, which will form its own class.
And for those who aren’t quite ready to make that jump to the track, the McLaren Artura road car more than has you covered. The advanced 3.0-liter V6 and E-motor hybrid powertrain offers 690bhp and 531lb ft of torque, with 0 – 60 in 3.0 seconds, while Proactive Damping Control, carbon ceramic brakes, the brand’s first use of an E-diff, and electro-hydraulic steering will have you feeling like a World Champion – even when driving safely within the rules of the road.
