After 40 years, duPont REGISTRY’s cover cars capture moments in automotive history.
This year, duPont REGISTRY, the source for supercars since 1985, is celebrating its 40th anniversary. In that time, some of the world’s most desirable, iconic, and influential luxury and exotic cars have graced the cover of our magazine over the past 40 years, and together, the cover cars of duPont REGISTRY’s hundreds of monthly issues tell a story of automotive history and its evolution since the ‘80s.
Looking back at duPont REGISTRY’s cover cars from the year 2007, some serious nostalgia is stirred up for any automotive enthusiast, and each year, a cover car shows an iconic moment of the past, when a car we see as a classic today was the hottest new creation on the market. January – Bentley Continental GTC
The Bentley Continental GT had already made waves as one of the world’s favorite luxury grand tourers, but the Bentley Continental GTC presented the same winning formula with an open top. It was the first duPont REGISTRY Magazine cover car of 2007.
February – Dodge Viper
A racing-ready Dodge Viper with aggressive aerodynamics, a tow hook, and hood pins graced our February 2007 cover.
March – Mercedes-Benz CL BRABUS SV12 S Biturbo
BRABUS’s take on the opulent Mercedes-Benz CL coupe graced our March 2007 cover, brandishing the brawn of a twin-turbocharged V12 engine along with the elegant silhouette of a pillarless coupe.
April – Porsche 911
In 2007, our Anniversary issue went for a throwback look, pairing an air-cooled 993-generation Porsche 911 with an illustrated style.
May – Ferrari F430 Spider
The Ferrari F430 Spider was the cover star of our May 2007 issue, and it’s shown here with custom wheels.
June – Maserati MC12 Versione Corse
The racing version of the Maserati MC12 graced our June 2007 magazine cover.
July – Chevrolet Corvette Z06
July 2007 saw yet another Corvette on the cover of duPont REGISTRY, this time a Z06 complete with an Official Pace Car Livery.
August – Lamborghini Murciélago
A green Lamborghini Murciélago with custom wheels that feature matching green accents was the cover star of our August 2007 issue.
September – Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Roadster
Of course, by September 2007, when this car graced the cover of duPont REGISTRY, the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren was already a legend on the automotive scene, and the introduction of a roadster variant helped build its legacy even further.
October – Ascari KZ1
Ascari was a British racing and supercar manufacturer with models known for their elegant looks and motorsport roots. One of just 50 units made, the KZ1 was our October 2007 cover star.
November – Bentley Continental GT
Complete with a custom body kit and wheels from Giovanna, this Bentley Continental GT was a serious dream car when it was showcased on our November 2007 cover.
December – Porsche 911 Wicked 7 Wide Body
Wicked Motor Works’ custom Porsche 911 Cabriolet adorned our December 2007 cover.
