From the lively neighborhood of Gbagada in Lagos to leading world-class operations across continents, Dolapo (Tolulope) Oshiegbu’s story is one of relentless ambition, powerful purpose, and a lifetime dedicated to excellence. Born into a middle-class Nigerian family that deeply believed in the power of education, Dolapo’s parents laid the first brick of a legacy she continues to build today. They chose quality schooling for her, and it paid off. She began her academic journey at Lantana Private School before moving on to the prestigious International School at the University of Ibadan for her secondary education. It was there that her brilliance began to shine through—earning her a certificate of merit from the National Mathematical Centre in Abuja for outstanding performance in a national mathematics competition. Dolapo’s passion for science and engineering led her to the Federal University of Technology, Minna, where she pursued a degree in Chemical Engineering. She graduated with a Second Class Upper Division, setting the stage for what would become a powerhouse career. But her university years were far from smooth sailing. In the middle of her studies, her father made the difficult decision to leave a high-ranking banking job for ethical reasons. The family faced financial challenges, but the resilience and entrepreneurship Dolapo witnessed in her parents during that period taught her one of life’s most valuable lessons: where there is will, there is always a way. After completing her National Youth Service, Dolapo kicked off her career at Intercontinental Bank, gaining valuable experience in different departments. But deep down, she knew the banking world wasn’t her true calling. Fate soon redirected her path when she was selected as a Graduate Management Trainee at Diageo, the parent company of Guinness Nigeria. That moment marked the beginning of an extraordinary 16+ year journey in supply chain and manufacturing, spanning continents and transforming teams.

Her professional footprint is vast. Dolapo has worked in Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, Seychelles, Ethiopia, Australia, and the United Kingdom—bringing her expertise in grain-to-glass processes, manufacturing excellence, sustainability, safety, and quality to every operation she’s led. From her time as Site Director at Guinness Nigeria to her current role as Operations Manager at Diageo’s facility in Belfast, Northern Ireland, she has been at the helm of premium alcoholic and nonalcoholic production, driving efficiency, profitability, and innovation. She is known for fostering engaging work environments, inspiring vision-led teams, and delivering sustainable results.

True to her academic roots, Dolapo has never stopped learning. Her impressive list of qualifications includes a Diploma in Brewing & Distilling from the Institute of Brewing & Distilling (UK), a Certificate in Strategic Governance, Risk Management & Compliance from the London School of Business and Finance, a Certificate in Environmental Management from NEBOSH, and a certification in quality improvement from the American Society for Quality. She also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Management & Leadership from Qualifi, UK, and an MBA from Anglia Ruskin University.

Dolapo’s leadership style blends technical mastery with people-first principles. She has successfully driven multiple high-impact projects, optimized manufacturing systems, elevated operational consistency, and developed strong, capable teams. Her passion lies in creating value not just for customers and stakeholders, but for the environment and future generations. She is a servant leader, a woman of faith, and a firm believer in leaving behind a legacy that others can proudly follow.

As a woman thriving in STEM and a traditionally male-dominated industry, Dolapo is deeply committed to inspiring other women to step into leadership. She believes women should not only have a seat at the table—they should lead the charge. She invests significant time mentoring and coaching young professionals, helping them become the best versions of themselves. Through her work with WIMBIZ in Nigeria and as a Women Empowered Global Ambassador, Dolapo supports women across the world, one dream at a time. The loss of her parents—who were her biggest cheerleaders—led her to establish the Modeji Foundation, a non-profit committed to supporting underserved communities with healthcare access, food aid for widows and children, and partnerships with faith-based organizations. Her approach to life is centered on impact. Whether she’s mentoring, funding a dream, or coaching someone through a life decision, she finds fulfillment in helping others become better.

If she could speak to her younger self, Dolapo would offer only one piece of advice—start dreaming big earlier and don’t let fear cloud the path. Today, she is happily married with beautiful children, continuing to live her truth: empowering others, driving excellence, and building a legacy that resonates far beyond boardrooms and brewery floors.
