Michael Cerda
Michael Cerdá, VP of Product for Disney Streaming and author of his new book, Build Something: Building Products, Business & Culture – A Journey of Hard-Won Lessons and Impactful Outcomes joins Enterprise Radio.

This episode of Enterprise Radio is in association with the Author Channel.

Listen to host Eric Dye & guest Michael Cerdá discuss the following:

  1. You’ve built businesses, products, and teams from scratch—what’s the single most important thing most leaders overlook when trying to build something great?
  2. You write about the importance of culture in a company’s success. What’s a time when culture made or broke a product, and what should leaders learn from that?
  3. In the book, you highlight moments where things almost fell apart—what was the biggest “near-failure” in your career, and how did you turn it around?
  4. Tech is full of “builders” who focus on product, but you say the real difference is building teams. What’s the biggest mistake founders and leaders make when assembling their teams?
  5. You’ve worked at major companies like Facebook, Disney, and Goldman Sachs—how does building inside a big company differ from building something from the ground up, and which one is harder?
  6. If someone listening right now has an idea or is leading a team but feels stuck, what’s the first thing they should do to break through and actually build something meaningful?

Michael Cerdá is a veteran product and technology leader who has served as Chief Product Officer and executive at several of the world’s most influential companies. As VP of Product for Disney Streaming, he helped launch Disney+ to over 100 million subscribers. Previously, he was Chief Project Officer at Goldman Sachs’ Marcus division, Chief Experience Officer at Live Nation/Ticketmaster, and Director of Product at Facebook. He has also founded multiple venture-backed startups and holds two technology patents. His new book, Build Something: Building Products, Business & Culture – A Journey of Hard-Won Lessons and Impactful Outcomes (Feb. 20, 2025), reveals the untold true stories behind some of the most transformative technologies of our time.
