Cruisin’ for a Cure 2024: Cool Cars, Big Hearts, and One Incredible Cause

Cruisin for a Cure 2024

If you were anywhere near Costa Mesa on September 28, 2024, chances are you saw (or heard) the action at the 17th Annual Cruisin’ for a Cure—and it was an absolute blast. With over 3,000 rides on display and 150+ vendors, this wasn’t your average car show—it was the world’s largest one-day charity car show, all going down at the OC Fair & Event Center.

But here’s the thing: it wasn’t just about the cars. It was about cruisin’ for a cause.

Why This Show Matters

Cruisin’ for a Cure isn’t just for gearheads. It was started back in 1999 by Debbie Baker, after her husband was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Sadly, he lost his battle in 2009—but his story lives on through this incredible event. Every donation and every car entry helps raise money for prostate cancer research at the KSK Cancer Center of Irvine.

So yeah, it’s a car show. But it’s also helping save lives.

Over 3,000 Rides? Yep.

From classic cruisers and hot rods to muscle cars and customs, there was something for everyone. Owners had the option to park and show or cruise the 1.5-mile loop around the fairgrounds—and watching these beauties roll by was just as awesome as seeing them lined up.

It felt like a moving museum of horsepower and history. Some of these cars were decades old but looked better than new!

Free Screenings? You Bet.

One of the most powerful parts of the day? Free prostate cancer screenings for men over 40. Dozens of guys took advantage of it—and some even caught early signs of a problem they didn’t know they had. That alone makes this event worth it.

Vendors, Food, and Family Vibes

Besides the cars, there were tons of vendors with cool gear, parts, merch, and more. Add in some solid food trucks, sunshine, and a family-friendly crowd, and you’ve got the recipe for one awesome Saturday.

A Show That’s All Heart

Cruisin’ for a Cure 2024 was more than just a massive car show—it was a day of community, awareness, and making a difference. If you came out, thank you for being part of something bigger than horsepower.

If you missed it? Don’t worry. It’ll be back. And you better believe we’ll be cruisin’ again.
