You’d never know it by looking at the exterior of this 1960 Corvette, but it’s undergone a body-off restoration.
Now, the selling dealer, located in Colonial Beach, Virginia, is offering this unusual vintage C1 on eBay with an asking price of $68,900 or best offer.

When the previous owner decided to tackle the big project, he ultimately decided to leave what was left of the original white paint on what’s described in the listing as a “SUPER NICE un-hit body.” That means it still has sporadically worn patches without paint, which could actually be a plus in our view because you wouldn’t have to worry about picking up a new chip or scratch in a parking lot or driving down the road.
The rest of the car, on the other hand, looks like it just left the St. Louis factory, including the beautiful brand new red interior (including the original gauges) that looks clean enough to eat off of.

You could probably enjoy a snack underneath the car, too, as the underside was totally disassembled and restored with all-new bushings, brakes, brake lines, fuel line, gas tank, and more.
The mechanical restoration continued under the hood as well, where you’ll find a “freshly” rebuilt 283/270 horsepower dual quad carburetor V8 engine mated to its restored four-speed manual transmission and Posi-traction rear end.

And in case you don’t believe this is a restored Corvette, the whole process is documented with a huge binder full of photos and other paperwork. Full ownership history is also available back to day one.
We’re eager to hear your thoughts about this unusual restoration. Some may feel it’s incomplete without a shiny new paint job, while others may think it’s cool just the way it is.
