This 1968 Corvette admittedly is not a show car, but a new owner can still boast that it’s been made famous by the internet.

This white over black convertible appeared in a YouTube video with Dennis Collins, who found it among a collection of nine Corvettes in south Texas he bought earlier this year. The guy had so many ‘Vettes he had to store them in two buildings “in the middle of nowhere,” Dennis says in the video.

Dennis sold it on Bring a Trailer in April, and now that guy has decided to offer the ’68 on Craigslist out of Frederickson, Washington, a little southwest of Tacoma, with a flexible asking price of $26,500.

The seller admits this Stingray isn’t a show car, saying it has “plenty of flaws.”

But if you’re looking for a “good running” ’68 with a “smooth shifting” Muncie four-speed manual and a good clutch, along with a 350/350 motor from a ’69 Corvette with unknown miles, “a ton of flaws and lots of other stuff people changed over its 50+ year lifetime” with “no paperwork except a clean title in hand,” this could be your car.

This Corvette, he believes, is “just a good-looking classic Chevy driver with thrills left under the hood” with “lots of new parts with room for more.”

At the 21:16 mark of the Coffee Walk video, you can watch Dennis uncover the car literally as it sits next to a yellow over black ’77 coupe. Not long after, Dennis listed it on the Bring a Trailer auction site, where you’ll still find more than 100 photos under sold C3 Corvettes.

The car sold for $19,100 in late April, and the seller candidly says he’s into it now for $26,000 but is willing to take $25,000 or even trade for something else – very specifically a low-mileage 2000-02 Silverado or GMC Sierra 2500 extended cab 4×4 long bed gas 6.0-liter pickup that isn’t red or black. Not that he’s picky or anything…

The BaT listing from April explains that after it was moved from the barn where Dennis found it, the battery was replaced, the carburetor rebuilt, the fuel system flushed, and an oil change performed.

Originally coated in British Green, the car has been repainted white by a previous owner and also includes late-C3 black bucket seats and a Pioneer cassette stereo. You’ll also see some rust on the lower part of the shift lever.

As for that replacement engine, it features an aluminum radiator, Edelbrock intake manifold, Holley four-barrel carburetor, long-tube exhaust headers, bowtie-branded valve covers, and chrome accessories.

Are you ready to become the latest caretaker of this first-year C3?
