Is it any wonder that the sixth-generation Z06 is still popular nearly 20 years after its introduction?
After all, the legendary 505-horsepower LS7 engine under the hood delivers a still-impressive 0 to 60 time of 3.4 seconds, the kind of performance that remains nearly on par with the latest C8s.
This Blade Silver 2006 example, originally owned by an 82-year-old enthusiast who garaged it for more than a decade, is described as “a collector’s dream and a sports car enthusiast’s ultimate find.”
Now the current owner is offering this “immaculate machine” for $47,995 on Craigslist out of the Prescott, Arizona area, calling it “as close to perfection as you’ll find.” He says the first owner treated this Z06 “with the utmost care,” rarely driving it and never racing it.
Indeed, this Z06 has been driven just 6,190 miles over the past 19 years, “meticulously maintained and babied since day one,” and remains in “showroom-perfect” condition “ready for its next proud owner.”
The Z06 debuted in 2006 with a small-block LS7 427 engine, but the car performed so well because of a myriad of other features, including a unique aluminum frame, magnesium-supported fixed roof panel, six-speed manual transmission, unique front fascia with larger grille and cold-air scoop, wider and restyled fenders, carbon fiber front fenders and wheelhouses, and a curb weight of only 3,132 pounds.
Options on this car include the 2LZ Package that included dual-memory power seats with two-tone leather seats, power telescoping and tilt steering column, Bose premium audio system with a six-CD changer, head-up display, and auto-dimming rearview mirror.
The seller says the car has “no dents, scratches, or scuffs,” calling it “nearly flawless from every angle,” and the Ebony with Titanium accented interior is likewise in “immaculate” condition, “with no signs of wear.” The roof panel was replaced and color-matched as part of a recall, and the car has been “perfectly maintained, with all fluids changed” with a new battery installed in 2024.
Also included will be extensive documentation, including the original window sticker, build order, purchase agreement, and maintenance records, along with two key fobs, owner’s manual, cargo net and cover, a Z06 car cover, remote exhaust switches, factory chrome wheels, and a new 2006 Corvette brochure.
You can get a better look at the car inside and out on this YouTube video:
“This is more than a car – it’s an investment in an iconic era of Corvette design,” the seller claims. “The C6 Z06 remains a favorite among purists for its sleek, timeless lines and unparalleled driving experience. Unlike today’s sharp-edged designs, this Corvette stays true to its classic, smooth body, and Ferrari-inspired curves.”
