Corky Coker to be honored at AACA Museum's 'Night at the Museum' on October 8th

Hershey, PA – This year’s Night at the Museum event, “Hot & Cool: Incomparable Moments from the Road,” features seven storied vehicles from our 300+ vehicle collection. However, it also is an evening to show our deep gratitude for those who support museum efforts and appreciation for those who have made an impact on transportation history.

The prestigious AACA Museum, Inc. Automotive Heritage Award honors one individual annually. Corky Coker is the 2024 AACA Museum, Inc. Automotive Heritage Award honoree. Coker grew the small antique tire niche in his father’s tire company into the world’s largest manufacturer of tires and wheels for classic cars, trucks, and motorcycles. His dedication and support of the “old car” hobby are evidence of his enduring commitment to preserving motoring history.

In addition to honoring Coker, the museum will induct the 2024 class of William H. “Bill” Smith Fellows. The fellows program recognizes those who have made noteworthy contributions toward the institution’s advancement. The inductees include Donald Barlup, Jim & Joan Aberts, and Richie Clyne.

Finally, Tucker enthusiasts voted to add David Cammack and Eddie Offut to the Tucker Hall of Honor. Tucker historian and collector, David Cammack created the most extensive collection of Tucker memorabilia, documentation, articles, and vehicles worldwide. It is housed at the Museum.  John Eddie Offutt served as Preston Tucker’s chief mechanic and assembled the first Tucker ’48. He was the driver of #1027 that rolled over at Indy after the car blew a tire.

Join the AACA Museum for a night of good food, great memories, and amazing people. They look forward to welcoming you to Night at the Museum on October 8, 2024, at 5 p.m.
