HOUSTON, Texas — Helix Earth Technologies Inc., which offers clean technology solutions for ventilation and air conditioning, recently added two industry veterans to its leadership team.
David Hamlin has been appointed vice president of engineering and will lead product development and engineering strategies, while Greg Powers has joined the company’s advisory board.
Hamlin will oversee the development of market-ready products, validate emerging opportunities, and align engineering strategies with the company’s vision, a press release from Helix said. As a former engineering leader at Trane Technologies, he brings more than 20 years of engineering and manufacturing experience to Helix.
Hamlin holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Colorado, a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Texas, and a master’s of business administration from the U-T. He is an active member of the Houston chapter of ASHRAE.
Powers, who has decades of leadership in HVAC, clean energy, and industrial innovation, previously served as vice president of engineering at Carrier HVAC, where he was responsible for product development and engineering across a $15 billion portfolio in HVAC and commercial refrigeration.
Powers earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees as well as a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
“The addition of David and Greg marks an exciting milestone for Helix Earth,” said Rawand Rasheed, CEO of Helix. “Greg’s depth of experience in HVAC and clean-energy innovation will help guide our strategic growth, while David’s engineering and product development expertise will drive operational excellence and take our technology from concept to commercialization. Their extensive Trane and Carrier experience will play a pivotal role in placing Helix Earth in a unique position to bring transformative change to the HVAC world with our space-age patented hardware.”
