KENNESAW, Georgia — Carrier Abound, part of Carrier Global Corporation has been awarded a 2025 Sustainability Leadership Award by the Business Intelligence Group. The recognition is for its forward-thinking approach and measurable impact in driving sustainable building operations through Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) solutions. Now in its 10th year, the Sustainability Awards celebrate companies that are making a measurable difference in building a more sustainable future. This year’s edition honored organizations leading the way in net-zero strategies, climate equity, and AI-powered transformation.
The award underscores Carrier’s commitment to helping retailers minimize the carbon footprint of their store operations through the renowned AI-powered Abound Insights platform, backed by global command centers. This comprehensive solution tackles issues like fragmented data, manual operations, and ineffective maintenance practices by creating smart ecosystems that can analyze information, make informed decisions, and automate routine tasks. Presently, Carrier Abound supports multi-site clients in enhancing operations across more than 33,000 stores globally.
“We are honored and proud to receive the 2025 Sustainability Leadership Award,” said Yasir Qureshi, general manager, Carrier Abound. “This recognition further strengthens our purpose and reflects our deep commitment to creating a lasting impact —
for our customers, for the future generations to come, and for the world we share.”
In the past 12 months, Carrier Abound enabled retailers to save over 667 million kWh of energy globally, reduce emissions from truck rolls and HVAC refrigerant leakage, and build more efficient and future-ready operations. For a leading retailer with over 2,100 stores in North America, refrigerant leaks were identified across approximately 5,300 rooftop units (RTUs) from May 2024 to September 2024. Timely intervention helped save over 161,300 pounds of refrigerant1 from further leakage, reducing emissions while preserving equipment health and ensuring operational continuity.
