The BYD Atto 3 Ultra was launched in Malaysia last month, bringing a new name for the Extended Premium variant that brings a RM5,000 rebate to its nett pricing of RM123,800, lowering the launch price to RM118,800 that lands it in Proton eMas 7 Premium territory.
Now, the BYD Atto 3 Ultra package offer has been extended for a further 2,000 bookings in addition to the first 1,000, to make the offer valid for the first 3,000 bookings made for the electric SUV.
The extended offer largely mirrors that which was initially offered to the first batch of 1,000 bookings, and this is comprised of a RM5,000 cash rebate and an eight-year service package worth RM4,888, as well a Type 2 charging cable worth RM1,796, a vehicle-to-load (V2L) adapter worth RM988 and a wall-mounted charger worth RM3,288.
As standard, the Atto 3 comes with a six-year/150,000 km warranty and an eight-year/150,000 km warranty for the drive unit (160,000 km for the battery).
Here, updates brought to the Atto 3 Ultra include a new 18-inch alloy wheel design, which replaces the previous turbine-style set, a minor revision to the headlamps, and the lower trim is now in black where it was previously silver. Interior upholstery now gets a fully black colour scheme, compared to the previous black/blue and dark blue/light grey two-tone combination.
The Ultra package for the Atto 3 brings yellow contrast stitching in place of the previous red selection, while the “guitar strings” on the door pockets are now black instead of red. Also on here are ventilated seats and a NFC digital key, enabling drivers to unlock and start the vehicle with a smartphone or compatible device.
Its powertrain remains unchanged, featuring a single front-axle motor that makes 204 PS and 310 Nm the propels the Atto 3 Ultra from 0-100 km/h in 7.3 seconds. This is powered by a 60.48 kWh Blade lithium iron phosphate battery that offers up to 420 km of range on the WLTP testing standard.
The Atto 3 can take up to 88 kW of DC charging to get a 10-80% recharge in 40 minutes, while AC charging offers a maximum of 7 kW, where a full charge will take nine hours and 42 minutes.
Conveniences and equipment include adaptive LED headlights, roof rails, keyless entry with an NFC key card, push-button start, single-zone automatic air conditioning, six-way driver’s and four-way passenger side power-adjustable front seats and faux leather upholstery.
Safety equipment continues as before, bringing seven airbags (including a front centre airbag), ABS, ESC, traction control, EBD, hill descent control, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, brake auto hold, autonomous emergency braking, front collision warning, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, rear collision warning, blind spot monitoring, door open warning and rear cross traffic alert.
