Bugatti Brouillard is the first one-off from the brand’s exclusive Solitare division

Bugatti has revealed its most bespoke creation yet – the Brouillard – as the first vehicle under its new coachbuilding division, Programme Solitaire. This one-of-a-kind coupe blends Bugatti’s iconic heritage with extreme levels of personalization, pushing the brand’s design, engineering, and craftsmanship to new heights.

Bugatti Brouillard

While Bugatti is no stranger to customization through its Sur Mesure program, Programme Solitaire takes exclusivity even further. Only two vehicles will be created under the Solitaire banner each year, each one tailored entirely to its commissioning owner’s vision.

The Brouillard is built on the final evolution of Bugatti’s W16-powered platform, producing 1,600 PS from the legendary quad-turbocharged engine. The name “Brouillard” – French for “fog” – is a tribute to a white horse once owned by Ettore Bugatti, the brand’s founder. That horse wasn’t just a pet; it was a symbol of speed, elegance, and loyalty—qualities now translated into the car that bears its name.

Design-wise, the Brouillard channels classic Bugatti proportions while integrating aerodynamic efficiency and visual drama. Its lower third is finished in darker tones to connect it to the ground, while the upper body’s lighter hues give the impression of a floating, elongated profile. Subtle details like a fixed ducktail rear wing and carefully sculpted air intakes blend functionality with beauty, all while preserving the car’s graceful silhouette.

The interior is just as striking. Bugatti has fused traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge materials: green-tinted carbon fiber, machined aluminum, and custom-woven tartan fabrics sourced from Paris. A large glass roof adds an open, cathedral-like ambiance, and the spine of the car flows seamlessly from the exterior into the cabin.

Attention to detail defines the entire cockpit. Embroidered horse motifs, uniquely contoured seats trimmed in custom leather layouts, and a gear shifter milled from a single block of aluminum—all reflect the obsessive level of care that went into this project. Inside the shifter is a miniature sculpture of Brouillard the horse, linking the vehicle’s mechanical heart to its emotional inspiration.

This particular commission was created for a passionate collector with deep ties to the Bugatti family’s legacy—not just automotive, but also artistic. The collector owns works by Rembrandt Bugatti and Carlo Bugatti, and the Brouillard serves as a tribute to the family’s artistic and mechanical brilliance.

With Brouillard, Bugatti’s Programme Solitaire doesn’t just create a car—it tells a story. The car will make its official debut at Monterey Car Week, and future Solitaire creations will continue the tradition of building ultra-limited masterpieces on existing Bugatti platforms, with design and materials tailored entirely to their owners.

For those few who can commission one, Solitaire represents the pinnacle of automotive personalization.
