The new R 1300 RT will come in from RM163,000 to RM173,000 onwards depending on variants.

The All-New BMW R 1300 RT: Touring, Redefined.

With a bold new design that enhances both form and function, the All-New BMW R 1300 RT introduces a lighter, sleeker profile that complements its commanding road presence.

In its Standard variant, the motorcycle features a clean, elegant visual signature that echoes its long- distance touring pedigree – now reimagined with sharper lines, a flatter tank ramp, and a visibly reduced front trim for improved visibility and more agile proportions. The tourer is further distinguished by its brushed stainless steel rear silencer, polished stainless steel manifold, tubular handlebars, and a fuel tank finished in Mineral Grey metallic matt. This reduction in rotational mass sharpens handling and improves braking responsiveness.

In addition to its Standard model in Alpine White, the All-New BMW R 1300 RT will also arrive in 2 dynamic variants, the Triple Black variant in Blackstorm metallic, the emphatically athletic Impulse variant in Racing Blue metallic.

The Triple Black variant distinguishes itself with a Dark Chrome exhaust manifold, forged handlebars, and a high touring windshield, creating a bold yet refined profile. Meanwhile, the Impulse variant captures a more dynamic and expressive character that demands attention on the roads, with special features including a sports windshield, and design option wheels as standard, along with a unique variable slipstream deflector that is exclusive to this variant.

Beyond its visual enhancements, the All-New BMW R 1300 RT arrives with improved ergonomics to support both active and relaxed riding styles. The new rider triangle has been reshaped, positioning the handlebars slightly wider and further forward, allowing the rider’s upper body to be in a closer position to the front wheel for enhanced control and feedback. Passenger comfort also receives an upgrade, with extended rear seat section and re-contoured side cases that provide greater legroom and adjustability without compromising luggage capacity. For added touring comfort, Comfort rider and passenger seats are fitted as standard across all variants, offering enhanced support for long-distance journeys.

As standard, the All-New BMW R 1300 RT is equipped with side cases or panniers in body color (27 litres each). The optional Vario cases that are fitted on the Limited Edition units include electrified side cases with interior lighting and central locking functionality. This allows riders to expand the Vario case capacity from 27 to 33 litres, contributing to fuel efficiency and aerodynamic stability.

Furthermore, the left-hand case adds a USB-C charging port, while both integrate seamlessly with the bike’s silhouette for a cleaner, more compact appearance. Additional storage is offered with optional topcases (39 or 54 litres), with the larger unit offering electric operation and a heated backrest for premium passenger comfort.

At the heart of the All-New BMW R 1300 RT is an updated version of the legendary twin-cylinder boxer engine, the most powerful BMW boxer engine ever made. With a displacement of 1,300 cc, it delivers an impressive output of 107 kW (145 hp) at 7,750 rpm and a maximum 149 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. It pushes further to a redline of 9,000 rpm, combining immense pulling power with smooth, responsive delivery across all conditions. The new boxer’s performance gains stem from a larger bore and a shorter stroke, along with larger intake and exhaust valves, a 13.3:1 compression ratio, and a revised crankshaft architecture. Together, these enhancements deliver more power and a much broader torque curve with a cleaner throttle response, making the All-New BMW R 1300 RT equally thrilling on winding backroads and long-haul expressways.

Despite this leap in output, fuel efficiency on the All-New BMW R 1300 RT remains on par with its predecessor owing to BMW ShiftCam technology, which optimises valve timing and stroke for either performance or efficiency based on riding demands. Further supporting sharper handling and braking responsiveness are the tourer’s new 17-inch hollow-spoke cast aluminium wheels, weighing in 1.4 kg lighter than before.

The All-New BMW R 1300 RT features three standard riding modes: “Rain”, “Road”, and “Eco”, allowing the adjustment of the throttle response, traction control and torque delivery based on road conditions. Eco mode actively manages fuel efficiency, with an on-screen indicator to guide consumption-optimised riding. Riding Modes Pro is available as standard for all variants, unlocking Dynamic and Dynamic Pro modes, which sharpen throttle and traction behaviour while also enabling mode pre-selection via the handlebar switch.

Leading the suspension setup on the All-New BMW R 1300 RT is the latest evolution of BMW Motorrad’s signature front and rear suspension systems: the EVO Telelever and EVO Paralever. The EVO Telelever front system introduces a stainless-steel plate that decouples steering forces from fork movement, allowing for pinpoint steering precision while absorbing pitch under braking. At the rear, the new EVO Paralever features a stiffer frame mount and a reinforced swingarm with a quick-release axle for easier wheel changes and better power delivery. Combined, both systems deliver 149 mm front and 158 mm rear spring travel, with electronic adjustment available for rebound, compression, and spring rate.

In addition to the familiar Dynamic Suspension Adjustment (DSA) options, the new electronic Dynamic Chassis Adaption (DCA) now goes one step further by offering two rider-selectable riding positions via the riding modes for maximum spread between ride comfort and dynamic handling, making for an even more thrilling riding experience in all conditions.

Arriving as standard on the All-New BMW R 1300 RT is its new full LED headlight, offering exceptional clarity and a commanding visual signature. The improved headlamp unit includes twelve LEDs for low beam and five LEDs for high beam, flanked by distinctive daytime running light icons for an unmistakable road presence. The Headlight Pro system, comes standard on all variants, adding adaptive cornering lights that respond to lean angle and pitch compensation to maintain optimum beam alignment under acceleration and braking. Adaptive Light Modes further refine illumination based on speed and environment for safer nighttime riding.

Advanced Connectivity and Dynamic Assistance for every Touring Journey

To further instill long-distance riding confidence, the All-New BMW R 1300 RT arrives equipped with

a comprehensive suite of advanced rider assistance and dynamic systems. Standard features

include Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Engine Drag Torque Control (MSR), Dynamic Brake

Control (DBC), and BMW Motorrad Integral ABS Pro, delivering consistent, responsive braking,

even through sharp cornering.

The available Riding Assistant package distinguishes the tourer’s safety features, with a range of

intelligent radar-based technologies, including Active Cruise Control (ACC) with automatic distance

regulation, Front Collision Warning (FCW) with brake intervention and Lane Change Warning

(SWW) to assist with blind spot awareness.

In addition, the Dynamic Package, which now arrives as standard on all variants, brings sharper

performance and added control with the inclusion of Dynamic Chassis Adaption (DCA), as well as

Riding Modes Pro. Complementing these further is the Sport Brake System, offering enhanced

stopping power and visual distinction with titanium-coloured calipers, and the revolutionary

Automated Shift Assistant (ASA), which enables clutchless gear changes in both manual and fully

automatic modes.

The All-New BMW R 1300 RT is fitted as standard with a high-resolution 10.25-inch full-colour TFTdisplay, offering crystal-clear visualisation of speed, navigation, media, and more. Riders can toggle between full-screen and split-screen views for navigation, onboard data, or active media. The TFT unit also functions as a full Connectivity Hub, allowing seamless pairing with smart devices and wearables such as heated jackets or smart glasses. An intuitive Multicontroller and a redesigned Favourites button panel provide direct access to frequently used functions like seat and grip heating, media playback, or navigation. The system is fully integrated with the BMW Motorrad Connected App, enabling real-time navigation updates, route planning, ride tracking, and performance insights via smartphone.

A popular feature among RT riders, the Audio system, has been further upgraded on the All-New BMW R 1300 RT. Building on the already refined 2.0 audio platform from the previous BMW R 1250 RT, the new system delivers deeper immersion, clearer fidelity, and expanded capability. Integrated DAB/DAB+ digital radio, adaptive sound profiles, and seamless Bluetooth pairing come standard, with audio playback available through connected helmet comms or built-in loudspeakers.

Exclusive to the All-New BMW R 1300 RT, riders can now enjoy the new Audio system for the Standard, Triple Black and Impulse variants, that features premium-grade separate tweeters, midrange speakers, and woofers, all driven across four independent channels. The Audio Prosystem which is included in both Limited Edition variants bring dynamic sound balancing that adjusts tone and emphasis based on riding speed, while the upgraded silver speaker grilles with exposed gold-dome elements lend a distinctive aesthetic upgrade to the cockpit.
