Bentley Motors Teams Up With Akrapovič On Lightweight Titanium Exhaust Upgrades

Whether it’s the sleek styling of the latest luxury British sedan or the track-oriented performance of an Italian supercar, every car enthusiast attributes their love for all things automotive to a particular characteristic around cars. And while the answer may drastically change depending on who you ask, one of the most common responses has to be the exhaust note. It’s the bread and butter behind iconic engine configurations like Lamborghini’s famous V12 or other timeless legends like Lexus’ V10-powered LFA. With a proven track record centered around luxury and comfort, Bentley Motors is honing in on performance with the announcement of its newest partnership with Akrapovič.

Bentley’s latest collaboration with Akrapovič offers optional titanium sports exhaust systems for the Continental GT, GT Convertible, and Flying Spur. Designed for the Speed and Hybrid models, the new setup shaves up to 22lbs off the standard system thanks to titanium and high-performance alloys, all forged in-house by Akrapovič. But the real attraction is how it sounds. In SPORT mode, bypass valves open up and unleash a deeper, sharper exhaust note full of growl on acceleration and crackles on overrun. It’s a visceral soundtrack that finally gives these heavyweight grand tourers the kind of edge you’d expect. Sandblasted and scratch-resistant, the matte finish tailpipes wear both Bentley and Akrapovič branding.

Beyond weight savings and styling, engineering is all about responsiveness. The tone shifts with throttle input, building from a refined V8 growl to a higher-pitched snarl as the revs climb. It’s one of those upgrades that connects drivers more directly to the car without changing the comfort or composure of the experience. Available as a factory option or dealer-installed retrofit, the Akrapovič system fits all fourth-gen models running either the High Performance or Ultra Performance Hybrid powertrains. So whether you’re speccing a new GT or breathing new life into an existing Flying Spur, this setup hits the right note.
