I’m considering installing a Bastuck exhaust system on my Volvo S60 T8 Twin Engine and find it curious why Bastuck isn’t discussed more in US forums despite being the manufacturer behind the popular Heico systems and offering similar products at significantly lower prices. My plan is to install a complete Bastuck system with valve control but modify it to work with my original valve and factory Polestar mode settings (which keep the valve permanently open, if i want to). This approach would eliminate the need for additional wiring or OBD connections that typically come with aftermarket valve controllers. The modification would require cutting out the original valve and welding it into the Bastuck system, which seems feasible. The result should be a more satisfying exhaust note while maintaining factory control functionality. Has anyone attempted a similar setup on their S60 T8 Twin Engine?
