My co-host on Beards, Burnouts, and Beer is a weirdo named Ryan Wing. If you don’t know him, watch the podcasts. I say he’s a weirdo because he is afflicted with the same hot rodding disease that the rest of us have and also because he’s weird. But in a good way. And sometimes he’s pretty insightful, like in this video here where he’s showing off his squarebody pickup and talking about how much fun it is on the road and on the track, even though it isn’t stupid fast. I dig this thing and it is totally relatable to so many people!

Video Description:

In the last 14 months Jake and I have taken this “lipstick on a pig” truck and turned it into a badass machine. You can drive it anywhere, keep up with the flow of traffic and run low 8’s in the 1/8 mile on street tires ! Once the AC is back on and we get the 12 bolt in the truck with better gears and cal tracks we should be close to the 7’s on peanut port iron heads and an almost non existent .512 lift 218 duration cam! We have made 20 passes on this truck and it just keeps on getting faster. The goal is to eventually have a truck that runs low 7’s and can drive it anywhere. We are heads/cam and a gear change away from mid 7’s and a 150 shot away from low low 7’s. This will be a slow moving goal as we ramp up pushing Jake’s s10 to the finish line while he continues to learn how to drag race in my truck. This is just a recap of where we have come from with this ole GMC. I can’t wait to see where we end up! Drop a comment below and let us know your thoughts! Thanks for watching as always!
