SUPERCHARGER HOW TO: ROTREX LS SUPERCHARGER INSTALL AND DYNO! INTERCOOLED VS NON INTERCOOLED. 5.3L TAHOE TEST
I first came across Rotrex Superchargers on Power Tour in 2006 when Kurt Urban and the guys from Wheel2Wheel brought their 1972 Nova sleeper. It was the talk of Power Tour because it was the ultimate sleeper. Part of what made it such a sleeper were the twin Rotrex Superchargers that were feeding the LS2 and making over 1,100 horsepower. These are some of the quietest centrifugal superchargers you are going to find, because they feature a planetary drive system that makes very little noise compared to gears. But I digress.
I had never heard of Rotrex at the time, but these units are built in Denmark and Wheel2Wheel was their largest US distributor. These suckers are trick, and are available for a bunch of applications. But what if you want to install one on an LS in your Tahoe?
Leave it to Richard Holdener Performance to install and test one to see just how well it works in a daily driver and towing application.
