I love this video! The Torque Test Channel is always putting up great tool testing videos, and we share them often, but every now and then they put something up like this which is just scientific enough to be relevant, but not crazy. I am particularly entertained by this one because I did in fact work for an air filter company at one point, or more precisely a company that made air filters. But that’s another story for another time.

This is about having fun in the garage testing out air filter flow using a rig that definitely came to be during some drinking and bench racing. And I love it. Don’t you? Let us know in the comments below.

So the question is, does a cheap auto parts store air filter flow as much as the high dollar replacement? When you have five different brands to choose from on the shelf at O’Reilly Auto Parts or Autozone, which one should you buy?

Well, this video might help you make that choice. Check it out.

Video Description:

K&N air filters: https://amzn.to/3U6gh7Y Purolator: https://amzn.to/4eLjUtN Denso: https://amzn.to/3Tt5KUe Lifetime of weekly updated rankings: https://torquetestchannel.etsy.com/li…

Does the extra money spent on a K&N air filter result in actual extra flow capacity? Does saving money of auto parts stores options instead of using OEM do the opposite and choke down potential air flow? Today we find out by hooking a 370Z / G37’s air box up to aftermarket and OEM style air filters from Denso, Purolator, OEM, FRAM and even a Porsche intake plus more to find out.
