The 2024 SCCA National Championship Runoffs have begun! It’s the start of qualifying days, and all the stress and excitement leading up to this year’s event are all heading out the window as qualifying starts today. It’s time to put the power down and be as quick as possible out on the famed course at Road America. I love this course because it is fun and fast and truly something special. Check out the first day of qualifying below and we’ll share the rest of the week’s racing as well.

The 2024 SCCA® National Championship Runoffs® presented by Sunoco is a celebration for many reasons, not the least of which is that the event marks the 60th anniversary of the winner-take-all championship. First taking place in 1964 at Southern California’s Riverside International Raceway, the Runoffs has traveled the country from coast to coast, with racers tackling the Runoffs at Daytona International Speedway, Road Atlanta, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Road America, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and more. This year’s Runoffs sees SCCA’s premier championship road racing event return to a freshly repaved Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI, with hundreds of racers champing at the bit to battle for the right to call themselves SCCA’s next National Champion.
Today is the first of three days of qualifying and “Sunoco 260 Tuesday,” where the driver in each class getting closest to 0.260 in their best lap will win 15 gallons of fuel from our presenting sponsor, Sunoco. The action begins at 8am CST and the order in which classes will qualify is below. Please note that this is a “follow by” schedule with no specific start time for each group.
