There is a difference between price and value. I just had this conversation with a friend of mine last night, when we were talking about hardware stores. Sometimes the value of an item is about that actual item itself, where you are taking into account cost, durability, quality, ease of use, etc, etc. These are the kind of things that determine whether or not a tool like this universal joint impact adapter is a value or not. In some cases, the cheaper tool is less of a value than a more expensive one, because the more expensive one works better, or lasts longer, or what have you. But there are times when the product might technically be the exact same thing, and it is the place you buy it that makes it more or less of a value. There are lots of criteria to use for determining the value of an object, and some of those criteria are going to depend on the buyer.

Regardless of your tool budget, we all know that we want to get a good bang for our buck when purchasing tools and equipment for our garage or shop. That doesn’t usually mean going out and buying the most expensive, or the cheapest option, as the best value is usually going to come from something in between. But with the ever increasing quality of tools, that might be changing a bit. What do you think? Do you always go for the cheapest option? The most expensive?

In the video below, Project Farm will put a bunch of universal joint impact adapters to the test from the big names to the small, and from the expensive to the downright cheap. Who’s product will stand above all the rest in quality, dependability, durability, and overall value? Watch and see.

Video Description:

Snap On, ICON, Proto, GearWrench, Craftsman, Showmemy, Capri Tools, Harbor Freight’s Pittsburgh, Sunex, Duratech, Wett, Workpro, Lexivon, Casoman, NEIKO, Libration, EPAuto. Universal joints compared for durability and torque transfer. The prices quoted in the video include the price paid for the set of 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 inch most of the brands, including the Snap On set. I purchased all of the universal joints to ensure an unbiased review. So, thank you for supporting the channel!
