Cookeville, TN (February 25, 2025) – TREMEC® Elite Distributor American Powertrain™ now offers a selection of Toploader Hydraulic Clutch conversion kits for first gen Mustangs either with or without power brakes. Ideal for smooth cruising, the new kits have everything needed for installation with a Ford Toploader 4-speed transmission. American Powertrain’s vehicle specific hydraulic clutch kits are upgraded with a custom billet Toploader 4-speed bearing retainer that is exclusive to American Powertrain.
American Powertrain’s hydraulic clutch kits for the Toploader with a 1-1/16” input shaft, include a Hydramax billet release bearing kit that includes slave and hardware, steel braided lines, billet reservoir kit, lines, shims and fittings. Paired with a Malwood Under Dash hydraulic pedal, the hydraulic clutch is pre-bled for easy bleeding and tested at 1800 psi.
