This truck is so awesome! Not only because it is a super cool looking 1936 Chevrolet pickup, but because this bad boy is powered by a 292 cubic inch inline-6 with a big turbo on it. How cool is that? I think it’s a winner, and so do the guys at FuelTech who strapped this thing down to their hub dyno. Could the 292 be cooler than a 2JZ? It sure sounds rad! This vintage truck just got an incredible refresh, and the results are nothing short of impressive! 💥 Craig and Steven Staff from Staff Bros. Garage brought in their freshly rebuilt 1936 Chevy Pickup, and it’s looking better than ever. Under the hood, a 292 inline 6 engine that’s managed by our FT600 ECU, paired with the precision of our FTSPARK ignition system and EGT-8 CAN for optimal performance and control.

These guys came to our facility after completing their build, eager to see how it would perform—but they hadn’t yet taken it to the track for testing. While it’s understandable that some might be hesitant to test a newly built vehicle in a live setting, we always recommend visiting our Hub Dyno before hitting the track. Our Hub Dyno provides a controlled, closed environment that allows you to fine-tune your vehicle’s performance and make any necessary adjustments in a risk-free setting. This ensures that when it’s time to take your vehicle to the track, you’re not only ready, but you’ve already optimized the setup for peak performance.
