We now have more details of the Malaysian round of the 2025 Autobacs Super GT, which will take place from June 27-28 at the Petronas Sepang International Circuit. This marks the return of Super GT to our country after a 12-year hiatus, with an agreement signed between Haro Sports & Entertainment, the rights holder and promoter of the Malaysian round of the race series, and the GT Association (GTA) last year.
First up, tickets for the racing event have been on sale since February 27, with two ticket categories available: K1 Grandstand for RM100 and Main Grandstand for RM250. For a limited time only, early bird pricing is available, with K1 Grandstand tickets retailing for just RM80, while Main Grandstand are RM200.
For those who want access to the GT Club Paddock Hospitality lounge, it’ll cost you RM2,000. Tickets can be purchased at this link, with all purchases being subject to an additional RM3 surcharged per ticket.
The Malaysian round of the Super GT will be run over a distance of 300 km and is the third round of the 2025 race calendar, which features a total of eight rounds. Malaysia is the only overseas stop for the race series, with every other round taking place at various circuits in Japan.
The supporting race for the Super GT will be the inaugural GR86 Cup Series Malaysia 2025, which will see 30 race-prepped GR86 cars duke it out on track. Following the first round in June, three more rounds of the GR86 Cup Series Malaysia will be held throughout the year at the Sepang International Circuit.
Also mentioned in the official release is a partnership with Nihon Matsuri, an annual celebration of Japanese cultural themes held annually by Trumpet International. The partnership between Trumpet International and Haro Sports & Entertainment will see both parties co-organise the Super GT Malaysia Festival 2025.
