The Aston Martin DB12 Goldfinger Edition has arrived, commemorating 60 years of partnership with the James Bond franchise.

James Bond’s cars are arguably his most eye-catching accessory, and the brand many people most closely associate with Bond is Aston Martin. Aston has a long history of Bond cars, perhaps the most iconic of those being the DB5 driven in the 1964 classic “Goldfinger,” hence the theme of this special edition model.
Outside, the Aston Martin DB12 Goldfinger Edition gets the same Silver Birch paint color as the iconic DB5 in the Goldfinger movie. This is joined by 21-inch wheels in a unique silver color with a diamond treatment finish, black brake calipers, gold side strakes, and an Aston Martin logo in silver with black enamel.
All Goldfinger Editions get the DB12’s 4.0-lt twin-turbo V8 producing 670 hp and come with an advanced suspension system.
Inside, the Aston Martin DB12 Goldfinger Edition gets even more Bond-y with a flurry of unique styling updates that are sure to please even the most well-heeled aficionado of either brand. Leather Sports Plus seats come finished in a classic DB5-inspired fluted design with an intricate Prince of Wales check perforation pattern. This pattern is incorporated as a nod to the pattern found on classic Jamee Bond suits and can also be found on the door cards, headliner and is etched into the tread plates on the doors.

The updates, of course, don’t stop there, with nearly all the interior switchgear getting the full Goldfinger treatment with the drive mode dial, roller controls, and gear selector all plated in 18k gold. This treatment is an allusion to the golden tracking device featured in the film. Additional gold can be found in the trim inlays that feature gold metal fibers woven into their 2X2 Twill Gloss Carbon Fiber.

Finally, an eight of hearts is embroidered onto the driver’s sun visor, a reference to the playing card seen in Bond’s last draw during the famous Miami pool scene in Goldfinger. A Bowers & Wilkins halo audio system comes as standard on all examples.

The Aston Martin DB12 Goldfinger Edition has been created by the brand’s in-house bespoke service dubbed simply “Q.” Aston says the Q team is capable of producing virtually anything the customer’s imagination could conceive of.

“The relationship between Aston Martin and the James Bond franchise is something that is always treasured”, said Marco Mattiacci, Global Chief Brand and Commercial Officer. “It is an incredible occasion to be able to recognise six decades of this partnership with an extraordinary special edition, and pay homage to the very first – and perhaps most famous Aston Martin Bond car.”
Aston will be crafting exactly 60 units of the Aston Martin DB12 Goldfinger Edition, another reference to the 60-year history between the two brands. This being Aston Martin, it’s very likely all 60 units are already spoken for, though the brand did not confirm this in their press release.
