The FOX News host, Pete Hegseth, has been into politics since his time at Princeton University, marking his entrance into the political world later in his life. A stern supporter of Donald Trump’s presidential candidacy, Pete has recently been considered as a nominee for the role of United States Secretary of Defense. His extensive career in television and politics, and later in authorship, contributed to his fame and net worth.

The Military Career

Hegseth’s career as a military veteran started soon after he graduated from Princeton University. Pete was commissioned as an infantry officer in the Minnesota National Guard, followed by his joining with Bear Stearns in 2003. Later, in 2004, he served as an infantry platoon leader with the National Guard. As the leader of his unit, Pete was awarded the Army Commendation Medal.

Pete also served as the Civil-Military Operations Officer in Samarra and won the Bronze Star Medal, second Army Commendation Medal, and Combat Infantryman Badge while serving in Iraq. Later, in 2012, he served as a captain, and by 2016, he had been promoted to the rank of major. Hegseth volunteered to protect the inauguration of President Joe Biden but was removed due to his extremist views.

As a Conservative Activist

Pete Hegseth played a significant role in influencing American politics as a conservative activist. Pete formed the MN PAC political action committee in 2012 and expended one-third of the funds on Christmas parties for families and friends. As a conservative activist, Pete spent largely on PAC’s candidates. However, PAC closed its account with the state board in 2018.  Later, Hegseth served as the executive director for the advocacy group Concerned Veterans for America. It promoted privatization of the Department of Veterans Affairs.  Pete kept Zionism and Americanism at the forefront of Western civilization and today’s free world.

As a Television Presenter

Hegseth’s journey to Television commenced in 2014 when he joined the Fox News channel as a contributor. He co-hosted Fox’s show All American New Year with Kennedy that broadcasted a telephonic conversation between him and Donald Trump. He continued to appear on various television shows, such as Unfiltered with Dan Bongino, as a regular guest since 2021. One of his significant television shows was “Battle in the Holy City,” which talked about the conflict between Muslims and Jews over the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

Apart from writing and hosting television shows, Pete wrote many books, such as “In the Arena: Good Citizens, a Great Republic, and How One Speech Can Reinvigorate America,” “Modern Warriors: Real Stories from Real Heroes,” and several others.

Pete Hegseth’s Net Worth

With such an extensive career, Pete Hegseth has acquired a wealth worth mentioning. Pete Hegseth’s net worth amounts to about $6 million, encompassing his earnings as a television host, author, political activist, and more. Despite his involvement in various controversies, Hegseth’s net worth reflects his achievements.

Pete Hegseth’s career was not free from controversies. His comment on the “Hamas agenda” against Muslim congresswoman Rashida Tlaib drew a lot of controversies. Hegseth was found encouraging Trump to bomb the Iranian homeland, accusing them of weapon storing. His hatred of Islamic culture got him into controversies. However, despite these controversies, Pete Hegseth has gained immense popularity and was recently nominated for the role of United States Secretary of Defense in 2024 by Trump.
