It’s always painful to see a classic chrome-bumper Corvette involved in an accident, especially when the people involved are hurt.
But that appears to be exactly what happened on Saturday afternoon in Solebury Township, a small town in Pennsylvania.
Photos posted to Facebook by the Solebury Township Police Department show a 427-powered Stingray being cut on with the Jaws of Life by members of the New Hope Eagle Volunteer Fire Company and City of Lambertville Fire District #1.
It’s hard to tell exactly how much damage was done to the black Corvette from the accident, though it appears the right front fender and passenger door had to be sacrificed to extricate the person inside.
The crash took place at 4:12 p.m. on River Road at the Route 202 interchange, involving the Corvette and a white SUV.
Multiple people had to be carried to the hospital for treatment, and traffic was blocked for several minutes.
