Welcome to Wajer Yachts.
For the past three decades, Wajer Yachts has been designing and engineering some of the most luxurious boats that money can buy. In 1992, Dorus Wajer developed a passion for building his own boats on canals and lakes near Amsterdam, starting with the Captain’s Launch 7m Classic, which continues to inspire future models for its quality, craftsmanship, and iconic lines. Today, Wajer is still very much a family business, with Dorus’ son, Dries Wajer, at the helm since 2017, guiding the brand’s evolution as its hands-on managing director. And while those smaller 19-horsepower canal boats have grown exponentially into performance-driven luxury yachts enjoyed on open waters worldwide, Wajer’s focus remains on creating timeless designs that help age the boats well.

Wajer’s designs are a perfect blend of style and function, where each yacht looks like it’s beautifully slicing through the water, even when docked. The company’s dramatic transition from the first Captain’s Launch came with the debut of the Wajer 37 in 2006 and its bold push toward the future by starting from scratch to engineer a model that would set the tone for faster, open-cabin configurations. Dries notes that Wajer’s core design DNA is still found in the boats today by saying, “It’s more like an evolution of boats we do because there’s still lots of design elements which are very beautiful in the boats, like the tumblehome hull and flare in the bow.” Notable models, like the Wajer 38 and Wajer 55, are prime examples of these aesthetics, combining other signature elements like deep-riding cockpits, low window frames, and smooth, flowing hull shapes.

Step onboard a Wajer yacht, and you’re immediately immersed in a world of comfort. Designed with the utmost attention to detail, the outdoor areas are spacious and inviting, the interiors cleverly laid out, with plush seating, climate control, and high-tech amenities catering to your every need. And while any Wajer yacht shapes itself as the perfect pick for a day on the water, every model serves a specific purpose based on factors like the owner’s lifestyle and or experience owning and operating a yacht of its caliber.
When asking Dries which is his favorite Wajer in the lineup, he responded, “Yeah, it’s a hard question because I’m in the position that I can always take a boat based on what I’m going to do with it. So when I want to stay overnight with a bunch of friends in the Bahamas, I take a 77. And when I want to go day boating, a 44S. When I want to go fast, I take one of the outboard ones, you know, like the 38S.”

While luxury and design are more than evident, performance is never compromised on a Wajer yacht. With a selection of powerful Volvo Penta IPS engines, Mercury outboard engines, and a deep-V hull design, these yachts are among the fastest and most responsive in their class. Whether you’re cruising the open seas, enjoying water sports, or embarking on longer voyages, Wajer yachts handle it all with ease, while joystick controls make docking at the end of your journey effortless.
Owning a Wajer yacht goes beyond just having a beautiful boat at your disposal; it’s a statement of luxury and a way to embrace a sophisticated lifestyle. One of the most impressive aspects of Wajer Yachts is how it operates as a full-circle, in-house manufacturer, handling everything from the initial sale to service and even helping source crews for days on the water.
