NexCore Buys 2 Commercial Contractors in the Northeast

DALLAS — NexCore, a commercial HVAC platform owned by the private equity firm Trinity Hunt Partners, completed its ninth and tenth acquisitions in just over two years, partnering with Action Air Systems (Action Air) and Accutemp Engineering (Accutemp), both of which provide commercial HVAC services in the Northeastern U.S.

The acquisitions bolster NexCore’s presence in New England, expanding the platform’s footprint into Connecticut and Massachusetts, a press release said.

Over the past 18 months, NexCore has likewise grown its executive team through the additions of Brian Nienstedt as chief development officer, Brandt Walker as COO, and Al Rollins as chief human resources officer.

“As NexCore eclipses its two-year anniversary, we’re thrilled to welcome the Action Air and Accutemp teams to the platform, whose commitment to their customers and employees alike aligns exactly with what we’re building,” said Steve Knowles, NexCore CEO. “Our partnership with Trinity Hunt has been instrumental in accelerating NexCore’s growth strategy, enabling investments in people, processes, and technology that enhance our service capabilities.”

Action Air is a full-service mechanical contractor, specializing in commercial HVAC and plumbing, with more than 35 years of experience serving customers across Connecticut. Founded in 1978, Accutemp has deep experience in providing HVAC services to its long-tenured customer base throughout Massachusetts.

The addition of Action Air and Accutemp brings NexCore to more than 800 employees who thousands of commercial clients across diverse sectors nationwide.
