Alex Lanstein is the CTO and head of threat intelligence for StrikeReady, the cybersecurity world’s first AI-powered security command center. His background as a cybersecurity intelligence analyst, researcher and adviser empowered him to analyze over 100,000 cyber attacks daily over a decade time span, delivering critical insights and new ways of combatting cybersecurity attacks.
Alex worked with the Microsoft Digital Crimes Unit to take down Rustock; he also helped lead the takedowns of botnets such as Srizbi and Mega-D, significantly reducing worldwide spam. His research has been published by The Washington Post, The Register, and Cisco Systems. His areas of expertise include malware analysis, client-side exploits, and heuristic botnet detection. He previously worked with FireEye, Inc. as a senior director and as an investor/adviser he provided counsel for over a dozen cybersecurity enterprises.
