Aston Martin and Glenfiddich Announce Exclusive Collaboration

Aston Martin and Glenfiddich Announce Exclusive Collaboration

Aston Martin and Glenfiddich have made a bold statement at the 2025 Monterey Car Week. Two of Great Britain’s most celebrated brands are joining forces in a global partnership that builds upon Glenfiddich’s work with the Aston Martin Formula One Team, which is now expanding into lifestyle and luxury experiences.

At the heart of this collaboration is a rare release, Glenfiddich’s 1976 Single Malt Scotch Whisky, aged 48 years and finished in a hand-selected European oak sherry cask. Malt Master Brian Kinsman has personally curated the cask.

A bottle of Glenfiddich 48-year-old whisky stands alone on the left; on the right, it’s paired with two glasses and a wooden Glenfiddich box, evoking the luxury of Monterey or an Aston Martin experience.

“This exceptional cask was not selected for its vintage year alone, but for the era it represents; the transformative mid-1970s, a defining period that marked the beginning of Glenfiddich’s modern era and helped shape the whisky’s character for generations to come. The whisky matured in a refill sherry cask before being moved into a 100 litre (26.41 gallons) European oak sherry cask built by one of our coopers.” – Brian Kinsman, Malt Master at Glenfiddich.

The mid-1970s, of course, marked a transformative period for both brands. Glenfiddich modernized its production and introduced the iconic stag’s head, whereas Aston Martin was redefining design and performance at the time, in the wake of Bond cars and coach-built specials.

If you’ve ever wondered what decades of craftsmanship taste like, the 1976 Single Malt offers a clear answer. Glenfiddich describes it as follows: on the nose, you’ll find red berry sweetness, soft spices, and crumbly butter pastry. The palate layers dry oak tannins, stewed fruits, and toasted wood. The finish lingers with sweet oak spice that sticks with you.

Stefano Saporetti, Aston Martin’s Director of Brand Diversification, highlighted the potential for immersive experiences, and if you follow the luxury space closely, this raises a question: how far will collaborations like this shape the way you experience premium brands?

If you’re attending Monterey this year, besides checking out the spectacular lineup of Aston Martin sports cars and supercars on display, including the new Thrillseeker Collection,  make sure to also stop by The House of Aston Martin to savor this unique collaboration. If you want a bottle, do note that the Glenfiddich 1976 will be available exclusively through The Distillers Library and The Glenfiddich Distillery, with worldwide availability limited to just 50 bottles.
