Verify #10 part with your VIN if replacing.
All car fuel systems need to be sealed and not leak out any raw gas vapors.
1996- all US cars have some type of fuel tank Evap test system/setup.
Read page 34-38 of engine control PDF about evap/leak test info.
Using VIDA to manually run an Evap test, if the test does not start immediately, #10 LDP has probably failed to start to run the test.
Replace #10 LDP and re-test. It is not uncommon to have LDP’s fail/wear out.
During an evap test, this will run at 2am, overnight sometime , cold engine or when the ECM decides to start the evap test. Valve 26 will close, it is under the intake beside the throttle plate, #10 pump will pump a pressure into the fuel tank, canister, lines to #26. The ECM knows how much fuel is in the tank. ECM monitors #10 pump current Ma draw. As LDP air pressure builds up in the tank, there will be a higher Ma draw on pump #10. ECM monitors LDP amp draw. Once a certain Ma draw and time is met within spec, evap test will pass. Ma draw and time out of spec, evap code will be set. Failed, missing gas cap will populate a large leak code because no Ma draw increase is detected.
#26 valve is normally closed, it only turns on, opens, to draw off fuel vapors from the charcoal canister #1, into the engine to burn off saved fuel vapors.
If #26 valve does not seal closed or sticks open, engine vacuum will pull off fuel vapors from canister #1
into the engine. This can/will set a P0172 code.
#26 = evap valve.
Replacing #26 evap valve would probably be a good thing so that it does not become a problem.

Condition
Engine Control Module (ECM) receives information from the heated oxygen sensor about fuel/air mixture in different load areas. If Engine Control Module (ECM) registers that fuel/air mixture deviates too much from target lambda, so that adaptations for bank 1 end up in any of its end-positions, the diagnostic trouble code is generated.
