Meet all of the 2025 Top 40 Under 40 HVACR Professionals
Roy Brown has spent nearly two decades climbing the HVAC ladder, starting in the warehouse and eventually working his way up to director-level leadership.
“I got into the industry shortly after finishing my enlistment as a military police officer in the Navy,” Brown said.
While working as a contractor and taking classes toward his HVAC associate degree, one of Brown’s instructors (in whose class Brown was doing notably well) told him that Robertson Heating Supply was hiring.
Brown interviewed for an inventory receiving position and got the job — launching a career that’s taken him from the field to the front office. And his biggest accomplishment is just that: starting in the warehouse and moving up through the company to his current position.
Along the way, Brown has built lasting relationships with his contractor and manufacturer partners. He’s also pushed Rheem’s contractor marketing/branding in new and innovative ways.
Brown’s goal is to continue growing and one day become a vice president — but always with the same mission: “to make a positive impact in this amazing industry.”
And that impact, thus far, hasn’t gone unnoticed.
“Roy is an exceptional leader whose impact on the HVAC industry is both deep and far-reaching. … His mission is powerful — he wants everyone to win. He is always looking out for the underdog, offering his support where it’s needed most,” said Erica Leonor, director of business development at Goodleap, and a 2024 Top 40 Under 40 recipient. “He is generous with his time, energy, and resources, investing in the success of his team members, contractor dealers, and broader professional network. His character, work ethic, and forward-thinking mindset make him not just a rising star but a leader shaping the future of HVAC.”
