After more than two decades and over 100,000 lifted voices under the hood, Bentley’s iconic W12 engine is being laid to rest but not before one last, opulent encore. At Monterey Car Week the spotlight fell on a remarkable swansong: the Batur Convertible by Mulliner. This is more than a car. It is a masterclass in bespoke craftsmanship and a tribute to Bentley’s 12-cylinder heritage.

Built atop the familiar twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter W12, the Batur Convertible roars with a commanding 740 horsepower, matching its hardtop cousin but with tailored elegance exclusive to a one-of-one creation.

Its beauty begins at the surface. A shimmering Opalite finish is trimmed in Beluga and Mandarin hues, complete with a bold central stripe and fine-lined accents. Inside, the theme of contrasts continues with asymmetrical leather in deep black on the driver’s side and pristine linen on the passenger’s. Even the rear compartment hides a plush, two-piece set of luggage, blending tones that mirror the cabin.

This convertible is not a production car. It is a true one-off. Mulliner, Bentley’s esteemed coachbuilding arm, collaborated closely with a discerning client to ensure every stitch, color, and detail was singular.

Known as one of the final models to house the W12, the Batur Convertible carries the torch in style. Its debut during Monterey Car Week underlined its symbolic role, a graceful farewell before Bentley pivots fully toward electrification.

With its custom finish, ground-breaking power, and unmatched craftsmanship, the Batur Convertible by Mulliner is more than a vehicle. It is a priceless echo of Bentley’s legacy as the W12 era draws gently to a close.
