Now seven model years into its eighth-generation, the mid-engine Corvette continues to win new admirers around the globe.
The latest market for Chevy’s award-winning sports car is Singapore, where a right-hand-drive version of the C8 Stingray will soon be officially available for the first time.
A General Motors official made the announcement this week, and photos apparently taken at a press event show a flock of journalists milling around a Torch Red coupe.

“From Bowling Green, Kentucky, to Orchard Road, Singapore – an American performance car icon is set to win new hearts in a new market,” GM Executive Vice President and President of Global Markets Rory Harvey said. “Today, General Motors launched the Corvette in Singapore, starting with the Stingray.”
It’s just the first variant of the C8 that will eventually be released to the Singapore market, Harvey said, with the nation expected to gradually get all five variants, though likely in low volumes – the Stingray, Z06, E-Ray, ZR1, and ZR1X.

Harvey believes Singapore will accept the mid-engine Corvette with open arms, proclaiming in a post on his LinkedIn page: “Singapore, start your engines!”
“As home to one of Formula 1’s most memorable races, Singapore has a reputation for valuing spirited driving, leading-edge technology, and quality craftsmanship, which the Corvette Stingray delivers in spades,” Harvey added.
He says the Stingray “offers the perfect combination of performance driving, sculpted design, and versatility, to make every drive truly epic.”

Harvey didn’t specify when the car would be available in Singapore, nor what model year it would be. In the post, the Corvette’s steering wheel can be seen on the right side of the cockpit in one photo, while also apparently showing the “old-style” infotainment screen available from 2020-25 instead of the new dash arriving for ’26. That leads GM Authority to believe the Stingray will “most likely” arrive in Singapore as a pre-refreshed 2025 model.
