We are delighted to announce another competition for you, this time we have a pair of tickets to the Silverstone Festival, formerly the Silverstone Classic. This Classic Motorsport show is one if not the UKs premier classic motorsport events. The 2025 Silverstone Festival will take place from Friday 22 Aug 2025 – Sunday 24 Aug 2025 at the iconic Silverstone race track. It is a truly wonderful day out. It’s got historic motorsport at its heart and entertainment for all ages.
Now in its 34th year, the Silverstone Festival is a spectacular motorsport event, a great family day out, a must attend event for any motorsport fan or petrolhead. Bringing together an international celebration of the very best dealers, manufacturers, car clubs and products, there’s a free funfair and once the racing stops music into the night, it’s the perfect day out for all.
So what’s on the year at the Silverstone Festival?
Honouring 75 Years of Formula 1
In 1950, Silverstone hosted the inaugural points-scoring F1 Grand Prix. To commemorate this milestone, the festival will feature the ‘World Champions Collection,’ showcasing cars driven by F1 champions over the decades. Additionally, a special race will see a record grid of 500cc Formula 3 cars, reminiscent of the support races from the first Grand Prix, take to the track.
Diverse Historic Racing Action
Beyond F1 tributes, the festival offers a rich programme of 20 historic races. Attendees can witness:
- The Royal Automobile Club Historic Tourist Trophy
- Masters Endurance Legends
- Adrian Flux Trophy for MRL Historic Touring Car Challenge
- Transatlantic Trophy for Pre ’66 Touring Cars
These races will feature a variety of classic GT, sports, and touring cars, ensuring thrilling on-track action throughout the weekend.
Supercars and Classic Car Milestones
The ‘Supercar Driver Paddock,’ a collaboration with Supercar Driver, will display an array of high-performance vehicles from brands like Aston Martin, Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, and Porsche. Moreover, the festival will celebrate significant anniversaries for several marques:
- 75 years of the Aston Martin DB2 and Jaguar Mark VII
- 60 years of the TVR Car Club
- 50 years of the Jaguar XJS and BMW 3 Series
- 40 years of McLaren Automotive
- 50 years of the Lotus Esprit, 30 years of the Elise, and 25 years of the Exige.
Entertainment for All Ages
Silverstone Festival 2025 isn’t solely about cars. The event boasts:
- Live music performances across three nights
- Culinary demonstrations featuring renowned chefs like Chariya Khattiyot and Giuseppe Dell’Anno
- Interactive experiences, including F1 simulators and STEM activities with Lego
- Family attractions such as funfair rides, stunt shows, and mini monster trucks.
Children aged 15 and under can attend for free when accompanied by an adult, making it an ideal family outing.
