A lot of BMW owners do a front lip and a set of wheels and call it a ‘build’.
Eric is not one of those people.
Whilst there’s nothing wrong with keeping things original or OEM+, it is nice to see owners out there being brave and building something crazy and unique. Whether it’s to your taste or not, I think we can all be glad it exists!
The first thing you notice about Eric’s M2 is the color: Inozetek Celestial Unicorn. With it being pearlescent, light really affects how this colour looks, and it changes as you move around the car. It’s striking and suits the ‘cosmic’ theme down to a T.
Inozetek vinyl isn’t always the easiest to work with, but the finish is always worth it!
The colour choice perfectly matches the M2’s Signature SEVEN forged wheels from Signature Wheel’s flagship series.
Beneath the wrap, you may notice some more aggressive body panels, which are courtesy of Alpha N. The hood, front wings have been changed as well as the welcomed addition of the Alpha N Class 3 rear wing – all in carbon fiber.
Other carbon exterior upgrades include the front splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser, front ducts, front grilles, rear bumper inserts and wing mirrors. You’ll also notice some canards blending in on the front bumper.
Under the hood, things are equally as bold.
You’re greeted with carbon fiber everywhere – engine and ECU covers, strut brace and radiator shroud. When supplying the engine cover for this build, we cut out a section so you could see the custom-painted CSF inlet manifold. Oh yes, this car has the full S58 CSF cooling package with all radiators upgraded. You’ll also notice custom engine cap covers from Goldenwrench and a full hardware dress-up kit from Downstar.
Look up, and you are greeted with this car’s craziest feature: an intricately airbrushed cosmic painting on the underside of the Alpha N carbon hood. I mean, who else is doing that to their M2?
Things don’t stop there. Eric’s interior has been fully overhauled with a custom-trimmed steering wheel, bucket seats, dashboard, centre console, doorcards and obligatory ‘starlight’ headliner for the space theme. Even the seatbelts have been swapped out.
Eric also has plenty of carbon accessories, a custom-painted half cage, and a CANchecked display in the air vent. The list is truly endless.
You’ll also notice the Airlift Performance controller. Even Eric isn’t that crazy to have his car fixed at this ride height.
Performance-wise, Eric has the aforementioned cooling mods, as well as an Eventuri carbon fibre intake and Eisenmann exhaust system. The car breathes and sounds a lot better!
Eric’s a good friend of ours and doesn’t really do social media – we just thought his G87 had to be shared with the world.
Also, huge shoutout to Reifen Center – the tuning shop responsible for this awesome project.
Let us know what you think of his build!
