A Bold Evolution in Design

A Bold Evolution in Design

Posted on July 13, 2025 By rehan.rafique No Comments on A Bold Evolution in Design

Ferrari has just pulled the wraps off the all-new Amalfi – a sleek, sculpted 2+ coupé that steps in where the Roma left off. It’s a bold evolution. The Amalfi brings together Ferrari’s unmistakable flair for performance with the kind of comfort and usability that might make you question why every Ferrari doesn’t do the same.

Let’s take a proper look under the skin, into the cabin, and out onto the open road with one of 2025’s most compelling new performance cars.

Design That Doesn’t Shout – But Speaks Volumes

The Ferrari Amalfi is a masterclass in restrained aggression. It doesn’t rely on oversized vents or exaggerated lines. Instead, the design flows like a well-written sentence – every curve has a purpose, every crease a function.

It’s unmistakably a Ferrari, but one that’s been refined through a modern lens. At the front, a large sculpted bonnet gives the Amalfi presence. At the rear, a discreet but highly functional active spoiler ensures stability without spoiling the view.

One standout feature? The launch colour. Verde Costiera – a deep teal inspired by the Amalfi coast itself – adds sophistication and freshness in equal measure. It might just be the colour of the year.

Everyday Usability Meets Maranello Muscle

Enthusiasts know Ferrari for its thrills, but few models offer such everyday usability. The Amalfi’s 2+ layout delivers genuine practicality – whether you’re making room for children, packing for a weekend getaway, or simply enjoying the freedom of more than one passenger.

Comfort hasn’t been left behind either. Optional comfort seats with massage functions and three sizing options bring a luxury car feel, while the dual-cockpit layout separates driver focus from passenger comfort without compromise.

The V8 Heart: Twin-Turbo Precision

Ferrari Amalfi - rear

At the core of the Amalfi is Ferrari’s award-winning 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8, massaged to produce 640 cv. That’s 631bhp in UK money, and it delivers it with a broad, linear surge that’s as smooth as it is savage.

Thanks to updated turbo calibration, reduced engine mass, and clever exhaust mapping, the Amalfi accelerates from 0-62mph in just 3.3 seconds. But this isn’t just about raw numbers. It’s about response. Throttle input is immediate, gears change faster than you can blink, and the exhaust sings – even within strict noise regs.

Key performance stats:

  • Power: 640 cv (631bhp)
  • 0-62mph: 3.3 seconds
  • 0-124mph: 9.0 seconds
  • Top Speed: North of 199mph
  • Power-to-weight: 2.29 kg/cv – best in class

Tech That Works With You, Not Against You

Ferrari Amalfi - front view

Technology in the Amalfi doesn’t feel forced or flashy. It’s focused. From the triple-display layout to the ergonomic controls, everything’s built around making the driving experience sharper and simpler.

Features include:

  • 15.6” driver display
  • 10.25” central infotainment screen
  • 8.8” passenger screen
  • Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto® as standard
  • Wireless smartphone charging
  • MyFerrari Connect app integration

Importantly, there’s a welcome return to physical buttons on the steering wheel, including the iconic red start button. Ferrari has listened, and it shows.

Driving Dynamics: Grip, Balance and Control

A Bold Evolution in Design

While GT comfort is high on the agenda, the Amalfi doesn’t compromise on agility. It’s equipped with Ferrari’s latest Side Slip Control (SSC) 6.1 system, electric power steering with real-time grip estimation, and brake-by-wire tech that gives sharper pedal feel with more stopping power.

In real terms, this means the Amalfi adapts quickly to road conditions. Whether you’re cruising through town or carving up a B-road, the car remains planted, balanced, and supremely responsive.

An active rear spoiler switches between three aerodynamic profiles based on your speed and driving style. At 155mph, it can generate an extra 110kg of downforce, all while adding less than 4% more drag.

Modern Edge

Ferrari Amalfi - Interior

Inside, the Amalfi combines high-end materials with a surprisingly calm and elegant layout. Gone is the clutter. Instead, you get clean lines, hidden lighting, and materials that look and feel expensive.

  • Dual-cockpit architecture
  • Anodised aluminium centre tunnel
  • Contrast stitching and carbon fibre detailing
  • Heated, ventilated, and massaging seats
  • Colour scheme: Verde Bellagio interior as launch spec

Ferrari designed it for long drives and late-night runs alike.

Aerodynamics Without the Drama

Aerodynamic efficiency isn’t always visible. On the Amalfi, it’s integrated with such finesse you might miss it at first glance. A rear spoiler that hides in plain sight. Vortex generators under the front splitter. Underbody air guides that improve flow and reduce drag.

Air flows through, under, and around the car with precision. And thanks to lessons learned from the 296 GTB and SF90, the active elements don’t just make the car faster – they make it more stable, more composed, and more efficient at speed.

Infotainment and Human-Machine Harmony

Driving engagement is about how well you interact with the car. Ferrari’s HMI system balances touch controls with physical interfaces for things that matter.

Passengers can track performance stats like G-forces and revs, while the driver keeps eyes forward with intuitive screen layouts and tactile feedback. Even the stereo – an optional Burmester® system with 14 speakers and 1,200 watts – offers crystal-clear audio without overpowering the car’s personality.

Tyres That Talk the Talk and Walk the Walk

Ferrari Amalfi - left side

The Amalfi wears 20” alloys, wrapped in tyres developed with Bridgestone and Pirelli. These were chosen not just for performance but for comfort – retaining the same aspect ratio as the Roma for a composed and refined ride.

  • Front: 245/35 R20
  • Rear: 285/35 R20

Whether you’re cruising along coastal roads or hitting the back lanes hard, the tyres offer confidence and feel without the harshness some low-profile setups deliver.

Ferrari Service: 7 Years of Peace of Mind

Every Amalfi comes with Ferrari’s 7-Year Genuine Maintenance Programme. That means all scheduled servicing – every year or 12,000 miles – is included, no matter where you are in the world.

It’s not just a service plan. It’s peace of mind. You’ll know your car is being cared for by Ferrari-trained technicians using factory diagnostics and original parts. For buyers considering the pre-owned route, it’s also a valuable reassurance that performance has been preserved.

Final Thoughts – Can You See Yourself in an Amalfi?

The Ferrari Amalfi hits a rare sweet spot: thrilling performance, elegant design, and real-world usability. It doesn’t shout. It doesn’t compromise and It simply delivers.

So, what do you think?

Would you choose the Amalfi over a McLaren GT or Aston Martin DB12? Is this the future of the everyday supercar? Or has Ferrari perfected the modern grand tourer?
