With over 100 exterior colours now available to Bentley customers, as well as a wide assortment of interior trim choices, the premium brand claims there are 46 billion different permutations of its cars.
While most manufacturers only offer a handful of exterior colour and interior trim choices, luxury marque Bentley claims there is now 46 billion combinations available to its customers, and further bespoke equipment can be added via its Mulliner division.
Basically, if you can think it, Bentley will likely be able to build it, as evidenced by its latest personalised creation – a pink Bentayga luxury SUV.
Created in conjunction with Mulliner, Bentley’s bespoke coachbuilding and personalisation studio, the Bentayga Extended Wheelbase (EWB) Azure was commissioned by a brand-loyal American customer to reflect their favourite hue.
Aside from the exterior colour, the Barbie-esque ‘Candy Pink’ Bentayga is also fitted with a number of customisation options such as a Cherry Blossom-accented leather interior, 100 per cent pure wool floor mats, and a bottle cooler with frosted soft-close glass door.

The US-based customer also opted for Blackline Specification, meaning the door handles, exhaust tailpipes, light bezels, lower grilles, roof rails, and fender vents are all finished in gloss black rather than chrome, with tinted rear privacy glass completing the dramatic exterior look.
As an EWB model, the Bentayga features extra legroom for passengers, while under the bonnet is a 4.0-litre petrol V8 engine, which produces 404kW/770Nm in Australia.
Additionally, this Azure is fitted with Airline Seat Specification – a highly advanced seat fitted with 22 directions of adjustment – an auto-climate-sensing system, postural adjustment technology, and can even apply 177 individual pressure changes in six pressure zones over a three-hour period to improve passenger comfort.

Capping it all off is rear entertainment with ‘Bang & Olufsen for Bentley’ (B&O) speakers, finished with drilled aluminium holes on the speaker grilles positioned to mimic the Fibonacci sequence.
The Bentayga is a common model for customisation, according to Bentley, with around 70 per cent of customers requesting at least one Mulliner feature.
Mulliner offers face-to-face services for clients who demand the rarest and most exquisite vehicles, often co-designing features and finishes to suit the unique tastes of the individual.

Even outside of Mulliner options, customers can choose between 111 standard exterior colour choices for the Bentayga, as well as a number of interior options, taking total permutations to 46 billion.
The standard Bentayga EWB takes about 132 hours to manufacture, 24 of which are needed to paint the body, and 18 to produce the trim panels and wood set for the cabin.
Crafters of the vehicle study from Bentley Master Trainers in order to achieve a certain level of quality expertise, learning all the techniques and skills required of the job.
In Australia, a ‘standard’ Bentley Bentayga EWB Azure costs buyers $514,500 before on-road costs and options.
