- Ford issued three recalls to address problems on the F-150, Ranger, and Navigator.
- Some F-150s may stall due to a contact issue that can chafe or pull out engine wiring.
- Rangers have a faulty instrument cluster, while the Navigator is getting recall redux.
Ford is on the cusp of a major milestone no one wants, issuing 100 recalls in a single year. While the company still has a way to go before that happens, they’re getting closer thanks to three new campaigns.

F-150 Recall: A Wire, a Hose, and a Whole Lot of Chafing
Kicking things off is a recall impacting forty 2025 F-150s. The trucks are equipped with 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engines and may have a “contact condition between the engine wire harness and the engine coolant hose.”

As the government agency explained, the engine wiring harness and coolant hose may come into contact with each other. This can lead to “chafing of the engine wire harness or pull-out of Powertrain Control Module connector pins.” This can result in an unexpected engine stall.
The issue is being blamed on a coolant hose, which was improperly clipped to an engine wire harness that had insufficient abrasion protection. To fix the issue, dealers will inspect the wiring harness for damage and repair it as needed. The coolant hose clip will also be relocated, while protective sleeving will be added to the wiring harness.
Ranger Cluster Confusion
Recall number two impacts 45 Rangers from the 2025 model year. The trucks have an instrument cluster which was “not properly configured,” and this prevents “many” of the warning lights and gauges from displaying properly. This includes the fuel gauge, forward collision warning system, and a number of others.
Ford is aware of six warranty claims related to the issue and customers will be advised to take their truck to a dealership to have the cluster configured.

Lincoln Navigators Need a Software Fix
The third and final recall involves eight Lincoln Navigators from the 2022 model year. They’re suffering from recall redux as the vehicles may not have had the correct software installed in a previous campaign. Because of this, the original issue could remain and cause a loss of daytime running lights and side marker lamps.
Ford blamed the issue on a tool that didn’t upload the correct software to the vehicle. To address the problem, owners will be instructed to take their luxury SUV to a dealership to have the Headlamp Control Module software updated.
