WSG partners with Genome Design

Warranty Solutions Group (WSG) has partnered with Genome Design LTD, the UK’s premier independent Supercar/Porsche tuning specialist, to launch a bespoke warranty programme tailored for modified Porsches.

Genome Design will be supported by WSG’s tailor-made warranty cover, developed specifically to accommodate modified and high-spec vehicles.

Steph Newbery, Group Director of WSG, said: “We’re thrilled to partner with Genome Design, a true leader in the modern vehicle modification movement. Our aim is to create warranty solutions that reflect today’s reality: that Automotive & Performance aftermarket sector can be professional, safe, and performance-enhancing.

“For too long, modified vehicles have been excluded from warranty policies. But with specialists like Genome setting a new standard for quality and craftsmanship, that narrative is changing. We’re proud to be part of that shift.”

Car customisation is a fast-growing sector attracting investment, professional skill, insurer recognition.

Newbery added: “Consumers now expect both aesthetic individuality and functional upgrades and the market is adapting. The rise of EVs, online modding communities, and sustainable custom parts is shaping an exciting new frontier for personalisation. Warranty provision must evolve too and that’s exactly what this partnership represents.

“At WSG, we recognise that the lines between OEM standards and aftermarket innovation are blurring. Our role is to support that evolution, not resist it.

“By working closely with forward-thinking partners like Genome Design, we can develop cover that accounts for the nuances of modern upgrades, from software-based performance tuning to eco-conscious material swaps.”

Nick Cook, Director of Genome Design, added: “Vehicle modification is no longer just about speed or looks – it’s about identity, innovation, and community. The influence of motorsport, streetwear, and social media is undeniable. Platforms like TikTok and YouTube have turned modified builds into cultural touchpoints and demand is growing fast.

“We are seeing a new generation of drivers who value experience and engineering. For them, a car isn’t just a mode of transport – it’s a platform for storytelling, creativity, and technological expression.”
