2008 XC90 V8 Executive | SwedeSpeed

2008 XC90 V8 Executive | SwedeSpeed

Posted on June 19, 2025 By rehan.rafique No Comments on 2008 XC90 V8 Executive | SwedeSpeed

I’m parting ways with my ’08 xc90 v8.

It is a what I call “light version” Executive : soft leather, sapele wood, mirror covers, pillar trims with badges, 19″ Galatheas.

Ember black colored body (very dark brown), with sandstone beige interior.

115000 miles.
I believe I’m third owner. First sold in Oregon, currently registered and located in southern CA.
Passed smog check recently and registered till 2026.

Clean carfax, no accidents. Clean title in my name in hand.

Excellent condition outside, inside and mechanically.
No rust or corrosion whatsoever.

Maintained in time. Garage kept.
The following services have been performed within last year:

  • new tires – all weather Nokian WRG5
  • rear trailing arm bushings (facelift version)
  • rear brake pads and rotors (fronts are still very good)
  • rebuilt rear differential – local rebuilder, installed at Volvo dealership
  • upper strut mounts
  • new sway bar and links
  • valve covers with PCV system (valve and hoses)
  • crank position and fuel pressure sensors
  • oem coils and spark plugs
  • all motor mounts
  • brake fluid flush
  • oem catalytic converters (take offs)
  • regular transmission oil changes
  • angle gear oil, rear diff oil, coolant, power steering fluid
  • engine oil changes – every 5K miles (during my possession)
  • cabin air filter, engine air and fuel filters
  • new drive belt with tensioner and rollers

Always used either OEM Volvo parts or next best things from FCP Euro.

Mods:

  • additional transmission cooler (from a T6 model) with Magnifine inline filter
  • Meyle HD front control arms and ball joints
  • subframe bushing inserts
  • clear protective film on the headlights, front bumper and hood (inherited from previous owner)
  • Garmin dashcam
  • “euro spec” side mirrors: curved at the outer edge to see the blind spot. Factory mirrors will come with the car as well
  • GROM audio Bluetooth and USB connector
  • running boards
  • 2013 front grille with brand new logo
  • 2013 LED taillights (have resistors but still throwing a message)
  • R-design dashboard (true odometer readings)
  • resonator delete (no discomfort inside at any speed)
  • tow hitch (installed solely for extra safety – I don’t have anything to be towed or carried)

The car will come with 2 steering wheels: leather wrapped 4 spoke – came form the factory, and wooden – installed by myself.
Oem rubber floor mats, oem wheel locks.
Set of tire chains (never used).
All user manuals and booklets. A whole folder of service paperwork. Touch-up paint kit.
One key.

Not so goods:

  • Minor chips and surface scratches on the paint – kind of expected from a car of this age.
  • B-pillar inner trim is a bit worn from the belt’s latch (can be seen in photos)
  • Typical xc90-esque front suspension clicking when maneuvering at slow speeds (probably spring seats need replacement).
  • Another xc90 thing: sunroof cover rattles a bit when fully opened.
  • GROM audio sometimes refuses to connect.

Other than that,- I don’t know if the front struts have ever been replaced (not that the car needs them now, but “statistic mileage” for replacement is nearing). Nivomats in the rear are fine.

Besides that, everything is functional, and works as it should. No sagging headliner, no bubbling clear coat, no weird smells.

I might have forgotten a thing or two, so please feel free to ask your questions (here, or DM).
