McLaren Automotive and McLaren Racing are collaborating to offer a highly exclusive opportunity to deliver the exhilaration of driving an authentic Le Mans Hypercar – a sensation that few will ever experience – to a select few as part of the unique Project: Endurance customer partnership programme.
Those chosen for Project: Endurance participation will become part of McLaren’s racing history – which includes the iconic 1995 victory in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, two Indy 500 wins, and triumphs in more than 190 Grands Prix – including Monaco – leading to nine Formula 1 Constructors’ World Championships and the only manufacturer to achieve the Triple Crown*.
Like the WEC LMDh Hypercar run by McLaren United AS, Project: Endurance will be powered by a race-built V6 twin-turbo hybrid powertrain driving the rear wheels. It will be built in partnership with renowned race car constructor Dallara, which is also the exclusive partner of the NTT INDYCAR Series.
Taking the customer Le Mans Hypercar ownership experience to a new level, McLaren brings Project: Endurance purchasers to the heart of an elite motorsport development and testing programme.
Customers, key team personnel, and drivers will have full behind-the-scenes access to the upcoming McLaren Racing LMDh programme and become a part of McLaren Endurance Racing’s story.
In addition to owning the Project: Endurance car, the customers will be at the very centre of the development programme for the McLaren Hypercar, which will challenge for victory in the 2027 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC).
They will also experience the euphoria of the 24 Hours of Le Mans that year, as part of McLaren’s campaign to win the Triple Crown* of motorsport again – this time in a single season.
Inclusive of the Project: Endurance ownership experience, customers will enjoy a two-year McLaren customer track programme that encompasses some of the world’s best race circuits.
They will benefit from support at track events each season, participating on an arrive-and-drive basis. Each owner will receive driver coaching from a race professional, and individual pit crews and race engineers will support them throughout.
Further information about this unique collaboration between McLaren Automotive and McLaren Racing will be shared as the programme matures.
*The Triple Crown refers to victory in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Indianapolis 500 and Monaco Grand Prix. McLaren is the only team to have won all three iconic races.
