Mercedes-Benz FashionWeek Kuala Lumpur (MBFWKL) 2025 is officially launched. The event returns for its seventh year here in KL, and continues its place as a platform where luxury meets innovation and icons are celebrated, reimagined, and born anew. All courtesy of the Three Pointed Star. The three-day event, held at The Exchange TRX from 13 to 15 June, a place now familiar with folks within the greater Kuala Lumpur area and now even regionally.
Nadia Trimmel, Vice President, Marketing & Sales, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia shared,”At
Mercedes-Benz, being iconic means evolving with intention – through innovation, design, and a commitment to a more sustainable future. Our legacy is built on craftsmanship and progress, values that are shared with the world of fashion. MBFWKL continues to be a platform where creativity meets purpose, bringing together visionaries who redefine modern luxury. From the first glimpse at the all new electric G-Class to celebrating the bold expressions on the runway, this year’s showcase underscores how icons evolve, proving that timeless design and sustainability can progress together.”.
So why have a Fashion Week? Well, luxury, as defined by Mercedes-Benz, goes beyond design. It is an enduring experience built on the brand’s rich heritage and ongoing commitment to innovation. For decades, Mercedes-Benz has stood as a symbol of status and sophistication, crafting vehicles that represent the pinnacle of automotive excellence. This philosophy is echoed in fashion, where design becomes a powerful expression of self and culture. In short, it is where the brand can promote its ideas and instil some inspiration as well as introduce the young, savvy fashion conscious people to the brand and what it stands for. Well, it is all about being integrated the brand as being culturally significant with fashion and more.
And you can have a reason to show your latest cars. This year, they have decided to showcase the reinvention of an icon: The all-new electric G-Class. Of course, since I attended the preview of the event today, there are also many more of the latest, and greatest Mercedes-AMG cars on display at the concourse area at the TRX Mall.
Featured Mercedes-AMG models on display include:
Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4MATIC+ Coupé (new)
Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE
Mercedes-AMG SL 63 4MATIC+
Mercedes-AMG G 63
Mercedes-AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+ Limited Edition
Mercedes-AMG EQE 53 4MATIC+
Their most aspirational models are on display. If you are free this weekend and in KL, you can get to see many AMGs in one spot.
At the heart of MBFWKL 2025 is the exclusive first look at the all-new electric G-Class – a reinvention of a timeless icon. While it is heavily stickered, you know the familiar boxy shape of a G Wagen. It may not have a turbodiesel or a big V8 like the ones we see on our roads, but that shape is still the same. But it will be quiet. Very quiet. But still boxy.
So, who are presenting at the MBFW 2025? Fashion icons – now and future.
MBFWKL 2025 features a curated line-up of 16 designers, each with a distinct take on modern
luxury, turning fabric into form and ideas into icons of innovation and craftsmanship. Their creations went beyond fashion statements, reflecting the same commitment to enduring design and meticulous detail that define Mercedes-Benz.
Returning luminaries such as Justin Yap, Dickson Lim, Coterie by Celest Thoi, EL by Ellie Lim, and Weihaoyong present collections that capture the evolution of their artistic identities. Justin Yap’s structured silhouettes and precise tailoring balance tradition with a fresh edge. Dickson Lim’s mastery of layering and textural contrasts creates pieces that move fluidly between tradition and bold expression.
Additionally, Khoon Hooi, Unitedwood, P-23, byThian, YULEZA, DIKSON MAH, and Douglas Chew illuminate the runway with their unique and creative visions.
Among the emerging talents, SETH&LUNA MALAYA stood out with garments that blend cultural storytelling with functional fashion. Their modular approach to design parallels the versatility seen in the Mercedes-Benz line-up. TEMMA PRASETIO, representing Jakarta, brought sleek, gender-neutral tailoring in monochrome palettes, a minimalist, urban homage to individuality. JNBY and SEIBU Kuala Lumpur made their runway debut at MBFWKL 2025, introducing ready-to-wear elegance that bridges lifestyle and high fashion, affirming that luxury today is about expression, not excess.
Adding depth and diversity to MBFWKL 2025 are an array of esteemed brand partners representing various lifestyle and experiential products and services. Among its partners are Schwarzkopf Professional and M·A·C Cosmetics, the official hair and makeup partners, as well as Crowne Plaza Kuala Lumpur City Centre, Kimarie Academy, Luen Heng, SEIBU, and The Exchange TRX.
MBFWKL 2025 also marks the conclusion of a weeklong Mercedes-Benz roadshow from 9 to 15 June, welcoming the public to immerse themselves in unforgettable Mercedes moments, celebrating the brand’s legacy and future-forward craftsmanship. The all-new electric G-Class, synonymous with heritage, power, and adventure, makes an anticipated appearance, offering a glimpse of its evolution and reaffirming that true icons continuously redefine themselves.
Alongside this milestone moment, the Mercedes-AMG range makes a striking impression, reinforcing Mercedes-Benz’s commitment to performance-driven excellence. Like fashion’s most visionary designers, Mercedes-AMG challenges convention by blending power and style to create something unmistakable
